I don't think Edmond Zedo would want to return... live fast, die young and be remembered as a legend.

Zedo couldn't make a meaningful comment if his life depended upon it. His posts were just witty remarks to people.
Bring back Songbird, while you are at it.

Most of those posters are still here. You don't see Mgb and Boo as much anymore, though. Jyakulis was never a prolific poster, at least in the time I've been here. He seems to appear about as much as he ever did. Mgb's avatar says "god of another game now" or something like that. Perhaps he's more active in another forum these days. ?

PS - This is how an extremely negative person starts a favorite members thread. ;PExcept there's this, deepsky. The topic of liking some more than others is often in the margins of our thinking and posting. But it can be very long and boring to address the inevitable simple-minded conclusions that can be drawn from stating, "... is my favorite". Besides which, in real life AND here, I reject the assumption that there's a limit on how many favorites *I* can have. Also, the notion that uniqueness precludes favoritedom.
My other point. I loved your sig that celebrated our differentness. For that and other reasons, you're one of my favorite members. BUT, in case it would be highly irritating to you, to read that ( because, yup, I mean it sincerely -- disagreeableness is... part of a balanced breakfast, I think ) I've mostly avoided saying so. Oh, make no mistake. There's almost no one to whom I offer a carte blanche saying I think I'll agree with everything they'll say or do ( that's a whole other topic, don't you think ? ) AND I'm not trying right now to remember exactly when I've agreed or disgreed witth what you've posted...
Do you see that I'm making a point, that I don't always want to be focused on building relationships, in this place ? Or focused on paying attention to respecting others' desires not to be drawn into "who's with whom" ?
And yeah, that was a theme that what's-his-name seemed to like to accentuate : "whose side are you on" -- which, by the way, is funny as an aside, but detrimental to debate about facts or ideas.
Most of those posters are still here. You don't see Mgb and Boo as much anymore, though. Jyakulis was never a prolific poster, at least in the time I've been here. That's because I am invisible.
My avatar says I'm going to hit you with a hammer. My sig says God of other games now, it's a Curveball reference that bastard Last Song took away, but do check out my golf score and please try to beat my x227 score.
As for bringing people back, someone should get deepsky back from the bowling alley before her rug gets stolen.

Why the fuck would anyone complain about such a piece sheer excellence? Some people simply don't have any taste when it comes to these things.
You could atleast put the image back.
And why do you care about what someone says about it? Do you think I have changed my avatar every time someone has complained about it?

CreativeChaos, I really wish you would just stop this, whatever it is, whyever you're doing it. I think you're probably trying to make a point, but I also think you're probably capable of saying it -- whatever it is, and I'm so very far from trying to guess as could be -- more directly. Unless your point is, that you can be as spiteful as anyone. That behaving well is the result of willing choice to do so, and not an intrinsic quality, for anyone ( crap, I'm still not trying to guess; and I'm logging off now. Have fun, whomever. )

Heh! Hi waxwing. What is it with the emoticons? Do you think INTPs have a visual connection that doesn't register the little buggers? Is it visual or just, ...uhh, I don't know... something else? :) Or are you being sarcastic and teasing and exaggerating. Hee! Notice I lowered the glare for you. *wink* It was pretty difficult and this post seems so bland, but, I wouldn't want to blind you. *wink*

Don't know, really. For me, they simply don't mean anything, especially when they're all together. I was being a little sarcastic, but honesly, they do hurt my eyes in groups. Especially if there's some sort of rhythm and variation, I can't help but watch the synchronization, and then, my eyes hurt again. Am I actually getting the emotion, though? Probably not. I think of them like a bunch of fireflies in a field. I can never really capture the emotion that's in the "bugger," so why try to catch them alll at once?
Thanks for lowering the glare for me. Self-sacrificing, I see.

Huh! That's curious. Cause they make me smile and laugh. I love them. They are little creatures in and of themselves. Hee! They are so cute! I do in fact get the emotions that they portray. It's all in reading emotional faces. Interesting.

See how the poor innocent victim is drawn in: what's the harm in replying ? Critically watch the fascination-technique of the expert charms the hard-case into fruitful dialogue. Gasp as suddenly it becomes too late and the respondent is seized and turned.
Pretty soon Deepsky will have gone over to the dark side, and her posts will be besprinkled with thousands of ducky little emoticons.

Okay. So. finally. An almost answer to what I did, actually, ask you earlier.
So, I'll ask again, in the tradition of written art ( I forget who, no, no, no, I don't think my posts approach art... I only mean, I'm borrowing an element of it. ).
CreativeChaos, are you in fact masquerading spitefulness, under the cover of what would be simple contrariness as often expressed by INTPs* ? Because, I want to tell you, I believe that you are acting with intentional malice, in your persistance in addressing certain members in overtly affectionate ways.
To everyone : hey, stalking, even in this medium, is definable. Also, it's neither "cute" nor affectionate. Nor should it be entertained. In fact, if anyone makes it clear that advances are unwelcome, and they persist -- that's odd, no matter what you call it. ( And, yes, having been female for this long, and having had more than a few conversations about this and other things, as a mother, has given me... many, many, many hours of having explored these topics out loud. )
* footnote : how, indeed, to differentiate between the two ? I think that the not-really-the-same-at-all, as expressed by INTPs, is recognizable by its fluid aspect [ see : snarled's avatar, as a visual representation of the same interpersonal interaction I'm referencing. ]
