This topic was inspired by KentOhio. What do you think of toads and frogs? I think they are adorable. They have the sweetest little faces. It looks like they are smiling. So cute!!

To me they seem to possess a facade of indifference and nonchalance.

I hate them, I hate them, I hate them. (Yes, I am slightly paranoid of them [i.e. run away screaming in real life], but that is why I hold a special place in my heart for Antartica...)

Adorable.

Although all mammalian/amphibian/avian creatures are, on their own terms particularly, but these are very charming.

I used to chase and catch toads as a kid. Some frogs are just so cute...especially tree frogs. Other toads and frogs aren't that cute. I think amphibians are interesting creatures...vertebrates with metamorphosis.

They are fine if they sort of flop around out of my immediate surrounding area. As soon as they try to come really close to me I get a bit freaked.

I think when we had 2 as pets and accidently drowned them has traumatised me :-(

There should be another option...I love frogs (used to live in Houston, if you took a midnight walk you would find lots of them jumping about on the streets) and some toads are ok, but I really really dislike the huge ones...this is thanks to my grandma's house in Veracruz and also the huge creatures would get inside our rooms...and terrorize us....and I mean huge.

You should freak them out by making faces at them and going "Woo-woo". They are sensitive creatures and can take a hint.

they scare the shit out of me. I'll hold snakes - I've even held a 5'2" alligator (granted, his mouth was taped and feet were tied) but I won't go near those spawns of satan. tree frogs are the worst. bleh.

I like the itty bitty tiny ones that are about the size of a thumb. They're so cuuuuute. ^_^

:P

I was a little innocent being back then, today they would probably not freak me out as much as roaches do.
My grandma was my hero, she used to take them out with one hand, I mean, hell, she touched the huge monsters.

That reminds me of that one singing frog that is/was the mascot of Warner Bros.

Nope. I just don't like the feel of reptiles and fish. I don't know why but they creep me out. I love fishing and eating fish though. <shrugs />

Ribbit.
We had tree frogs back in NC... For a while after we moved, I couldn't get to sleep without them.
