Never dated, but I took it anyway. I'm pretty sure I know why I didn't get INTP. Although I answered a few questions with the F answer, I guess I was saved from that.

But anyway, I think first date I'm not going to try to figure out if I have a future with the person. That's too much to decide. Also, I've decided it's a bad idea to come up with qualities I want in a person. I think I want certain qualities and then I don't. I've seen this just in friendships...

I think I want someone who considers differences a good thing, something that they can learn from, but now one of my closest friends is someone who would rather people see things her way, but doesn't mind tolerating certain differences if she enjoys being around that person.

There's too many things to consider about a person. It's much better just look at how well I can get along with someone, and try to figure out why after the fact. What I figure out is sometimes useful in the future, but it's usually rather specific and not good for a generalization. Except what I learn about myself.

Tests like this probably wont help too much unless you really know what you're getting in to. I doubt most Ts consider heavy relationship analysis to deter the true answer to this question.

Example. If I were to say that MBTI deals only in numbers, and you specifically require a "W" in your mate, MBTI would not be able to tell you that "W"s are mostly found in a certain type. You may have a lesser requirement of "15" and this is mostly found in another type. But this type may hold no "W," thus your real limits aren't specified through a simple test.

I'm not that confident - being confident only happens when I'm informative about something. And I wouldn't go for a feely guy.
