Hello,

My name is Francis. I'm a Belgian 24 year old INTP. Test results also claim that I'm a peacemaker (9w1) but I still need some time getting used to that idea.

I find this forum a very exciting discovery and I hope to share lots of fun discussions with you all! (If this makes me sound like an F don't worry, this kind of talk is learned behaviour.)

Greetings,
Francis

Hi file cabinet,

I study informatics for two years now. What seems boring stuff to most people I find really exciting. I love to go to school! (although honestly I find some classes boring as well).

I am an active member of my church. It's a church in Vilvoorde, about 100 km from Brugge, where I live. I'm a member of the choir there, LOL the first "note" I sang was about three weeks before joining, while practicing for the audition. (I'm afraid I'm not a natural talent, but they let me in anyway) Still, it's a good choir.
I hope to join the music academy this year, but I've been put on a waiting list. I thought it would be good being a choir member to get a grip on music theory.

I spend a lot of time hugging my girlfriend.

My hobbies are mostly computer related, although recently I discovered the joys of cooking :) Yummie (although sometimes yuk!)

Reading. I have read a lot of books on the subject of interpersonal communication.

I'm gonna stop here because I think most people don't like reading long posts (as myself)

If you have any questions or remarks, don't hesitate!

Greetings,
Francis

By hugging I understand to embrace affectionately: to put your arms around somebody’s body and hold the person tight to show affection or pleasure.

I study informatics in Brugge. It's mainly programming C, C#, Visual Basic, RPG, .. and analysis.
Note to Oliver: Graduaat Toegepast Informatica aan de Hogeschool West-Vlaaderen te Sint-Michiels Brugge ;)

First off, Hello Francis! :hello:

I love to cook, frees up my mind. Do you do much with chocolate - apparently you're home to the best chocolate in the world. I worked with a guy from France who'd like to have everyone believe France has the best of everything, wine, doctors, chefs, cell phone technology... everything! But he reluctantly gave Belguim the nod for chocolate.

What's the deal, does even your low end stuff taste pretty good? Like better than a Hershey bar? I remember working in a restaurant and sampling various sandwich meats from different vendors. I had always assumed bologna was the rubbery stuff from Oscar Mayer, who's TV ads always featured little kids singing its praises. Basically because no adult would willingly eat such garbage. But then I had some Boar's Head Bologna and it was heaven.

Why all the fuss? Do you know? I'm not a chocoholic by any stretch but food facts always intrigue me. :nerd:

Down boy,

I read an article on chocolate from Belguim a month ago. I could have eaten the page by the end...

I don't know what it is exacly that makes it so good, but after having tasted chocolate in different countries ours simply is the best. You have to taste them yourself actually ;)

Well.. I know have always enjoyed chocolate. But I never ate chocolate from outside Belgium so I can't compare. The only thing I know is that I like it! Oh wait.., I once ate a chocolate bar that was imported from America. It was discusting..

Hi Ellen :hello: ,
Studying "pol en soc" sounds heavy. I hope you're better at disciplining yourself than I was when I tried university, it was a disaster!

Welcome Francis.

I'm a 9w1 on the enneagram also. I donate time and money to Church and community activities quite a bit, and your post got me thinking that this may be what points me to 9 instead of 5 in that model.

O.K., I admit it...when the test told me I could easily sleep my life away, then I knew that I was a 9w1 for sure...

Heb je al bekende vlamingen gezien in Brugge?

Niet dat dat belangrijk is, of zo. Ik vraag zo maar wat. Brugge is een zeer mooie stad. Ik ben er ooit eens op schoolreis geweest.
