How can something that’s so simple be so complex?
Every moment that we live it we hardly question it
Sometimes we seek its meaning if it means anything at all
Sometimes we have faith that god will catch us when we fall
It’s different for everyone but we don’t ask why
But we all agree with certainty that we live and die
Some of us live beyond one hundred years
Some of us don’t even get a chance to breathe the air
Death knows not of what’s too soon nor knows of all our pain
One thing of death I admire is that it treats us all the same
Death takes life from good and bad, from young and old
Doesn’t care whether you’re a failure or close to reaching your goal
