Now I could accuse you of low capability of comprehension, but I think I would be stating the obvious, as you just proved that. Excellent post, Swift.

You might feel the same way about 'Lord of the Flies', but it's still a great book. ( Even if we did have to do it at school > which is a surefire way of sucking the fun out of any bit of writing. )

1) Calling a suicide note a fake even though he wasn’t sure
I start with this one because I think it is the most amusing. When a forum member posted a suicide note Claverhouse immediately alluded that it was probably a fake suicide note. Even though it had other forum members up in arms praying for the safety of the poster Claverhouse refused to remove the thread.

The last discussion I had with a forum member before the suicide letter was Claverhouse. It should have been quite clear to him as well as everyone else I had contact with that it was stem's suicide and not my own. I posted it in the Altier afterall, and it was moved to the Rants and Raves section by some drama hungry mod or admin. I must admit I lurked around and read every single response, and was moved, and in tears as well.

It was very strange to see how people responded to my death, and liberating when they thought I was alive and were angry that I didn't kill myself afterall.

So begins the conspiracy...

A few friends of mine who I made aware of the suicide situation decided to take it a few steps further. This including creating an obituary for myself, and contacting everyone I know online to inform them of my death. This was too hard for me to do alone.

I wanted to scream "FUCKING IDIOTS, YOU SHOULD KNOW BETTER!!", but those desrving of the truth got it.

Claverhouse got it. He is certainly not a fucking twit. :smooch:

Twice, but how does that prevent me from registering a new member name?

burn the witches, burn the witches, don't take time to sew your stiches
burn the witches, burn the witches
good is the thing that you favor, evil is your sour flavor
you cannot sedate all the things you hate
burn your bridges, burn your bridges, don't take time to sew your stiches
burn your bridges, burn your bridges
good is the thing that you favor, evil is your sour flavor
i don't need your hate, i decide my fate
you cannot sedate, all the things you rape

Anyway, reban me if that is best. I have no intentions of "trolling", just stepping out of the coffin to defend a friend.

As I've said before, I am other members... there isn't much at stake.

Good to know, so basically he knew it was a joke and let people go on like it was a real suicide attempt instead of locking or deleting the thread. Effectively he made a joke out of those people. Nice moderators you have on here

Yeah, I wouldn't want it to make it that I cared all that much about the suicide situation. It was mainly just to point out that the moderators on here are pretty worthless. Wasn't Claverhouse's "anti-claverhouse thread" locked? Funny.

Even if he didn't truly didn't know, I have no problems retracting my accusations, but he is still a worthless moderator.

It was great to hear from Division, Shaytana, Heero and Claverhouse on one single thread. It is good that they felt strongly enough about something to voice their opinion.

Maybe one day Swift/Others will post something that directly bothers one of the administrators and action will be taken.

hehe,

Now that they have had their say I guess they'll go back to not adding anything to the forum at all, their self-absorbed omnipotent invisible selves watching the hate and racism flow egged on by their lone vocal moderator.

I actually don't hate Claverhouse. I just hate the fact that he is the only vocal admin right now. Currently we have a racist and other members who is pissing people off... you know if any admin came down and said "You're a racist asshole but I'm not going to ban you just for that" I'd feel much better. Right now it seems that all of you support him and his threads.

Division56
31 May 2005, 02:47 AM
I don't... I did not support the homophobic ones either. I think most of you are assholes, and I think most of you stir up shit just to take up my free time. Given, I wasn't doing anything with my time... but still.

I would like to not see the racist threads, they show a distinct lack of... class. I don't want to be the censor, either. Sadly, I am neither impartial enough, nor have I the patience. And neither does anyone else on this site.

Sorry to be so late at this thread. I hope my comment won't be too late to contribute something of value.

I find the original essay quite fascinating! I have read it many times, each time placing a different name in lieu of Claverhouse. What's amazing is that the essay remained as meaninful, no matter what the name was.

(About the 'mod' part, whatever name you use, the text would still be applicable if the person were a mod.)

But the best match I found was to substitute Claverhouse by George W.

You're the one who kept Geronimo's skull the last time we all dressed up as women and got drunk. Pappy wants it back, now.

Also, note the fact that I don't get involved with moderation, see the developers thread and the notice there. My job is forum maintenance, and I also help set general policy and take action if no one is around. I have clearly voiced the fact that I want little to do with the moderation wars, I want to make sure things run and other stuff.

Yeah, well some of us don't have alter-egos, so I hope you can pardon my confusion. See, I'm not as intuitive or in the loop as you or Claverhouse.
I hope you had fun slowly shaking your head from side to side.

Sorry. That was aimed at a paticular group, not you or alot of the other people who wouldn't have known better. To those members I apoligize, know that I was crying and not shaking my head. It went too far before I could change it, what is there to do but remain speechless when they speak of you as if you're dead.

Every member here is someone's alter-ego.

CorporateWhore, that's what you're upset about ? Come to think of it, I was glad to read Division56's posts, too -- smug, sarcastic, hating most of us... so what ? Really. I wonder, too, what people who are simply reading might be thinking, without posting. I think all of us, admins and mods too, get to choose whether or not to post, though. Anyway, you said it well, about missing reading posts by those who've taken on administrative/moderator roles. Or maybe that isn't exactly what you meant, and that part's just me.

I'm not much into history at all... Many times I feel as though I have very little to say in response to your posts due to my lack of historical knowledge (And your obvious breadth of historical knowledge). My forte is programming and mathematics...

I'll be sure to look it up and become enlightened at some point...

Claverhouse
24 Jun 2005, 01:46 AM
There's nothing wrong in not being good at stuff you're not interested in --- and my historical knowledge is not that massive --- In programming, I'm limited to having once programmed 'Hello World' to come up on the monitor, and I left maths shortly after mastering long division. I never even tried short division.

Explanation (http://www.intpcentral.com/forums/showpost.php?p=6147&postcount=33) here in the Screen Names thread.

Aw gee, this thread is becoming all about me: I hate when that happens.
