I have finally found others with similar qualities to myself. I took this test 20 years ago in College and almost cried. I knew I was a bit different but it was strange to finally see it on paper. I even took it three more times over the course of 10 years to see if it was correct. I have spent many years developing myself to fit into the world, without much luck. Most individuals just do not understand the way I perceive reality. About a year ago I just gave up!!! I decided if I could not fit in, why try. So I am back on my own path and living in my reality, which I find to be much more joyful and peaceful to say the least. Just last week I met for the first time another INTP and started to think about finding others. This is how I found this Forum.

I work in the steel reinforcing construction industry as a CEO. I also have my own company that deals with biofeedback. I help engineering teams realize their potential.
Right now I am having the most joyful and peaceful time in my life. I just found out that my husband and I are expecting our fourth child. There will be 18 years difference between the oldest and youngest.
What do I do that I consider exciting? I love reading about Kinesiology, physics, psychology, and spirituality. I also write everyday. My story's are about a Magical child and her adventures. :D

> a CEO
mmm.. that's pretty damn cool.
> have my own company
that's pretty cool as well, I think it would be hard to startup a business.. and in fact, it is hard since most fall on their face(I think).. but I do work for a business startup and things are looking up in some areas but failing in other areas.

Hey cool; I'm a CEO and co-founder of a corporation too! Only err, uh..umm...it doesnt' make any money (I can never solidify it for some reason). So to support myself I stock the tp.
Anyhow; I'm authorized to sell a million shares of worthless common stock. Wanna buy some?

Welcome, dont bother trying to "fit" in with the rest of the world. Its not worth the effort and its more fun to make them wonder how you can be so distant yet so happy :) Congrats on being a CEO.

" I took this test 20 years ago in College and almost cried. I knew I was a bit different but it was strange to finally see it on paper. "
I know what you mean! I took this test in college too (would be 8 years ago or so for me) and read the description and thought "Wow! This really does describe me. Are there actually other people like this?" I still find it extremely hard to meet people as aquaintances, let alone people I can actually "connect" to.
Welcome, even though I came to this forum after you did, heh.

Welcome, I am glad that you gave up trying to fit in, but I am wondering why you waited so long and how you didn't go crazy.

Who's to say she didn't go crazy.
I'm eyeing her suspiciously at this very moment.
