I'll tell you about myself which is, of course, the point of this branch of the forum.

I'm only 16. I hope that doesn't make me any less welcome. I'm not particularly sure what the age range is on this website. I'm very unsure of my interests. I know I'm a math/science person primarily. However, I"m also gifted in the arts. Good art seems to happen by accident, for some strange reason. I don't like to put deep thought into art, particularly because I'd just feel ridiculous.

I'm the "smart one" in my family. My family of five consists of my parents and my two older siblings. My parents are from Mexico and never went to school. My older brother didn't graduate from high school, and he is, thankfully, getting out of prison tomorrow (after a year of imprisonment). My sister dropped out of HS, but I think she has her diploma anyway. She's a drug addict (the easy stuff, like marijuana [sp?]) and is currently unemployed and living off welfare. I like giving my family background because it makes me feel so much better about myself. My family, actually, isn't stupid. They just seem like they would be from an objective point of view.

To continue the subject of myself, I would say that the thing I value most out of everything is my knowledge and my way of thinking. I have a quiet sense of pride in everything I can do with my mind that others can't.

Currently, I'm a HS Junior. I take advanced classes but I'm defintely not a straight-A student (mostly because I don't find the people that do get straight A's particluarly enjoyable). I think that when I enter a university I'll be majoring in the biological sciences or some kind of environmental study. For now, I must be leaving. It is 1AM in the morning, and my alarm is scheduled to go off at 6AM. What a restful night I have in store.

I hope I did not overdo (or underdo) my introduction. Feel free to ask questions because I did not cover many general topics that are usually covered when introducing one's self.

No you are not welcome. Go away.

I'M JUST KIDDING.

If I'm welcome here as acrid as I am, then I'm sure you will be well received.

I would be with you on art if I was a few years younger (no threat there either, the age range here is pretty wide, which I'm sure you'll appreciate). I'm still paranoid about the reception of the music I play, but in the end it works out, so I've learned to be less skeptical of the things I do there.

You sound typical, which is good around here. :)

Welcome. :)

Hello it is great to have you! I would have really enjoyed to have this type of forum when I was 16. Instead all I got was math and chess club. Oh well, least times have changed in the past 20 years.

All are welcome in this most awesome sanctum man.

Don't ask me why.. I don't know myself.

Welcome to the group. ;P

Aww, dude, I'm Mexican ^-^

My parents didn't finish College...but I know what you mean...so, were you born here? I wasn't going to do this or anything, but I am really feeling weird because of the speech I just gave about HTML, *hugs you* welcome to the board ^__^

~*Aven*~

P.S.-I will probably never do that again...forgive me if I offended at all.

Nope, I can think of quite a few regulars in the 16-18 range who are like you. Or like me when I was 16 (into the math and sciences, thinking about studying biology and environmental science in fact), which isn't terribely long ago (21).

Welcome to the board. I like it here.

That being said, I only received two replies to MY introduction thread, even though I was so good as to right away post my pic in the "What we look like" sticky.

Thank you Sheepdog, Ape. As for the rest: fuck you all.

Ok, not really. ;P

Welcome, neutral minds :)

There are indeed at least several 16 year olds - and younger and older than that, too.

I like you avatar (and I'm not sure what it is, exactly... ?) - glad you joined :hello:
