I managed to dig up this gem:

http://www.adequacy.org/public/stories/2001.10.9.111543.378.html

Maybe it's been posted before but I haven't been here long.

In sum, he attempts to re-order the hierarchy of society based on MBTI types. And guess what? INTP's and INTJ's are the "Untouchables" - the lowest caste in his utopia. Here is his description of us (and INTJ's):

At the bottom - INTP, INTJ. Here we should have all the INT's - that is to say, the iNtuitive Thinkers, be they judging or perceiving. These types tend to care very little about other human beings, as they value logic and are very cold. They live in thir own mathematical world, removed from all human concerns. The INTPs are the lowest of the low, and can also be quite dangerous. They are best left to work on simple tasks that all the other types hate, as they have very high boredom thresholds and can be left to work on boring columns of figures, or program computers, or work on assembly lines, without any real personal problems. They enjoy being ordered around and told what to do, and as long as their orders don't involve interacting with other people they are very happy. These types are very autistic in nature, and like most idiot savants they can sometimes show a remarkable facility for impressive but ultimately useless tasks, such as typesetting in TeX or memorising Star Trek dialogue. These types tend to look quite thin and pasty, and take little care over their personal appearance. They often have small, peering eyes and tend to be quite short and ugly. Spots are common. They do not make suitable romantic mates for anyone, and are really best kept away from the opposite sex.

At first I believed that this was all tongue-and-cheek, but if you read the author's response to the feedback, it is clear he is at least somewhat serious. It is humorous that without an INTP's and INTJ's he would not have the MBTI system (Jung) with which to contruct his hierarchy or the means to disseminate this theory on the internet (computer programmers).
(I must, however, admit that people have jokingly described me as both autistic and an idiot savant.)

My first reaction was, "Holy crap O_o.. what the hell is this? Besides a little scary.."

Then I noticed it was posted on Adequacy.. and I'm pretty sure that it is a strictly parody site.

Note:
(NB The author is an INFP himself, and so this article is guaranteed to be unbiased)
so it seems to me to be pretty sarcastic..

This article cracks me up: http://www.adequacy.org/public/stories/2001.12.2.42056.2147.html Is your son a computer hacker?

I haven't visited the rest of the site but I still believe this is not completely a joke. Regardless, it's still an interesting subject of debate.

Sheer comedy.

It's a joke. I find it amusing. Especially how the INFP author gets everything completely ass backwards. i.e. relationship skills are rated high, logic skills low.

I went to the homepage for adequacy.com. With article titles such as "From Kids to Commies: The Truth About Daycare" and "Baby Seal Skinning Factories: Has Their Time Come?," it surely is a parody site. I guess I should pay more attention to context. The problem was, before I came to the MBTI hierarchy article, I read one by the same author about the British Empire that made a certain amount of sense to me.

I don't think it's funny at all. Someone might be new to MBTI and really believe that stuff. With so few of us to stick up for ourselves, it could easily happen. I say we ask him to remove it from the site.

meh, it was parody, and funny at that. It's the kind of parody that makes you giddy when you stick up your 1-finger salute, put on a psychotic evil laughing grin and tell the guy to fuck off :)

I respectfully disagree. I don't believe ideas should be censored merely because some misguided souls could interpret them in potentially unhealthy ways. People have the right to be wrong. And there's that little 1st amendment thing too.

In any case, the "logic" is so flawed and the characteristics so exaggerated (and falsified) that no reasonable person could subscribe to it.

Even the suggestion that INTPs and INTJs are dangerous makes it obvious that the guy is being sarcastic. Dangerous as to what - we might think ourselves to death?!
Not to mention the "they enjoy to take orders" part. :D And yeah, the disclaimer makes it even more obvious. It was hilarious. :)

Well, when we are disturbed by some rule or something, we resist it with complete security and seem rebellious.

LOL That's pretty good. All the Rationals at the bottom of the totem pole, huh.

In my hierarchy, I think I'd assign 3/4's of the Guardians to be lowly gravediggers. And the ESTJ's would be the ones being buried alive of course. :D

Two words - 'evil genius'

Uh, no that is also ass backwards - F related skills are as important as T related skills, in my opinion. (which I reserve the right to change)

Lol. Actually, that sounds like a pretty good job for an ISTJ.

This article was circulating on the Yahoo messages boards, a couple of years ago. I did not give credence to the author's opinion and still cannot. Clearly it is one person's subjective opinion. However, I found it quite laughable that INTJs and INTPs were so taken back with the comments. Who cares what others think.

I do have to admit that, from my own self-assessment, I think INTPs should probably steer clear of any job which calls for persistent productivity. Although we are capable of adhering to rules and regulations than INTJs, and especially EN/STPs, the more repetitive the job, the more apt that INTPs will endanger their well being.

I think this article is the result of a bored INTP with a devious sense of humor.

Hilarious.

(And I love what you said about SJs and grave diggers!)

I would have thought that most INTP's would have had humor on that level - lots of T involved, little F. (like black humor, I know I love the black ironies in life). I have that sort of humor.

When reading the excerpt out of the context of the article, I found myself seeing how one could come to that conclusion. Then I checked out the article, and it was so obviously a joke I had to laugh, at it and myself. I felt kind of dumb for not getting it right away.
