I got B
Your senses are pretty sharp (okay, most of the time)
And it takes something big to distract you!

Hmm... C-
You tend to notice the big things in life...
But the details aren't exactly your forte
Sounds like a typical N.
Actually, I'm pretty observant... but I'm observant of things that other people aren't usually observant of... or so I'd like to think, anyway.

You have perfect observation skills...
Or perfect skils for Googling quiz answers!
How can you miss any of those softball questions?

I got B - but then again it has taken me all of my life questioning everything to amass that information.

This quiz is stupid...
What 2 letters don't appear on the telephone dial?
I've never owned a telephone with a dial, how could that make me unobservant if I never had the oppurtunity to observe it in the first place???
Stupid...
How many channels on a VHF TV dial?
The same applies for this one..
Stupid...
Which way does a "no smoking" sign's slash run?
Stupid...
http://www.engineering.usu.edu/databases/mdb/images/no_smoking234.gifhttp://www.wdcweb.info/news/images/No_smoking.jpg
Which side of a women's blouse are the buttons on?
There is a standard for this?
Stupid...
On which side of a venetian blind is the cord that adjusts the opening between the slats?
Again, there is no standard for this either...
Stupid...
Which way do fans rotate?
The fan in my house has a fucking button to change the way it rotates...
Stupid...
And so I deem this quiz STUPID...

C+, but I guessed on most of them.
Preoccuption with insignificant details is for ISTJs. Naturally just sort of knowing this stuff is somewhat enviable, but ultimately probably not that useful (at least for an INTP.)

The test is stupid - I think the older you are the more you get on that - eventually you would know the answers to all of those questions.

Heh, no a B- But I deserved an A due to my inherent awesomeness goddamnit!
(Regardless of the fact that I can be pretty unobservant at times. For example just the other day I was looking for the scissors in the drawer. They were RIGHT THERE in front of my face, but I looked and looked and looked but could not find them. I had to ask my gf where they were and she just kinda looked at me like I was an idiot as they were probably the most prominent thing in the drawer. I don't know if that could be considered unobservant but I really do thuink I suffer from some kind of mild retardation at times...)

That's almost as bad as me losing my notebook the other day. I called my girlfriend and was like did I leave my notebook at your place I can't seem to find it. Then I glanced under the desk and it was under my foot. I guess what happened was I didn't have it for class so I assumed it wasn't at my place and called but still. Sheesh!

B-.
Guessed on a few of them, but I usually observe a few things subconciously, and when I was doing the test, I imagined it in my head, tried to see which ones felt "right". Comes with being a very visual person. That happened for the smoking sign, blouse buttons, venetian blinds, fan, traffic light and statue of liberty questions.. Surprisingly enough, I couldn't remember what the american flag looked like. :P

Incidentally, I just looked at my phone. The 7 button says "PQRS," and the 9 button says "WXYZ." Another question about to be obsolete?

You would be more observant if you were blind.
Or totally stoned out of your mind :-)
How Observant Are You?

I had to guess for maybe 80% of the questions. I must be out of practice. I used to be able to score a lot higher on topics I was fairly clueless about in school.

Haven't you ever heard of the doppler effect? Fans go clockwise on the western hemisphere, and counter-clockwise on the southern.

No phones with dials are in fact missing letters. Touchtone phones have them all...
