As part of my university course I have to interview a psychologist with a few other people and I've chosen... a parapsychologist!
Now, what would you ask a parapsychologist in a serious interview?

Ask if she/he has particular intuitive gifts and what they are. How does the information get to her/him, ie, auditory, visual, or other means. Ask what made her interested in that field, and what is the best/worst part of her job, and does she like it? And does she feel her abilities can be taught to others?
For example, some do believe you can be taught to see aura colours using this or similar techniques:
How To See The Aura
This exercise is designed to help you to practice seeing auras. This is easiest to accomplish in a dimly lit room, but with enough light to see the aura. (To see your own aura, follow the instructions below standing about 3-4 feet away from a large mirror.)
1. Have the person sit or stand in front of a very softly illuminated plain white or light background.
2. Focus on the person’s "third eye" - the spot in the middle of the forehead between the brows - for 30 to 60 seconds. Throughout this entire exercise, remain focused on the third eye area.
3. After about 30 seconds, you should see that the person’s body is surrounded with a white light or glow emanating an inch or two from the body.
4. Remain focused on the third eye. Gradually you will begin to see colors emanating several inches from the body. These colors may also fluctuate.
5. Have the person move very slightly and slowing from side to side. You should see the aura "catching up" with the body as the person moves to each side.
Daily practice (10-15 minutes) helps to stimulate and develop your auric sight. You can practice wherever you go. Sit in the back of an auditorium or movie theater and focus on the backs of people’s heads. However, I would warn against the rudeness of staring at anyone straight on. Better yet, practice with a friend.
Another way to practice seeing the aura is to learn to focus your eyes on "Magic Eye" paintings such as this: (Click here) (http://www.lessons4living.com/love1.htm) (Get real close to screen, look as if you are looking thru the screen into distance, and slowly move back slightly, you should see it).
You should see three-dimensional stacked hearts with the word "Love" written over them. This site also has other such pictures with different three-dimentional objects for your to identify. There are also "Magic Eye" books available. ________________________________________________________________
Read about the following types of areas of the field and ask questions based on these links:
The phenomena in question fall into two broad groups.
Extra-sensory perception (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extra-sensory_perception) (ESP) is also known as anomalous cognition (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anomalous_cognition), and includes telepathy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telepathy), clairvoyance (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clairvoyance), clairaudience (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clairaudience), clairalience (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clairalience), clairgustance (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clairgustance), clairsentience (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clairsentience) and precognition (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Precognition).
Anomalous operation (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anomalous_operation) includes psychokinesis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychokinesis) (in the past referred to as telekinesis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telekinesis)), out-of-body experiences (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Out-of-body_experience), astral projection (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astral_projection), near-death experiences (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Near-death_experience), mediumship (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medium_%28spirituality%29), and reincarnation (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reincarnation).
The general term "psi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psi) phenomena" (or the somewhat older term, "psychic phenomena," which was said to be the "psi factor" in an experiment) covers all of these categories.
