View Full Version : Which Type the Biggest Asshole?

O.K. which type do you think is the biggest asshole?
I, personally, think INTP'ers are the biggest assholes...but that's because I'm ready to be honest with myself and my type.
I think SJ's are the least likely to be assholes. They only see what's in front of them and they've already made up their minds what it is. If you're a smart enough INTP, you can quite easily push their buttons so that they get along with you cordially.

depends on what your definition on asshole is...
If it is fake niceness to maintain social harmony -- ESxJ types
If it is not caring about anything but the good times, then dumping your ass when the bad times come around -- ESxP
If its honesty to the point of being blunt and not caring about social nicety -- INTP or INTJ.
For me personally I think it is the ESxJ or ESxP.
disclaimer: not all people of these types are big assholes, I am just saying that people that I tend to find most offensive TEND to be of these types.

Right good point...gotta get a clear standard of measure in place first:
http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/asshole
Noun
asshole
Alternative spellings
arsehole (http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/arsehole) (UK, Australia)
(vulgar) The anus (http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/anus). My crap (http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/crap) won't come out of my asshole, doctor.
(vulgar) An undesirable (http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/undesirable) person. Less vulgar and intense than fucker (http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/fucker). You put a dent (http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/dent) in my car (http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/car), you asshole!
O.K. let's go with definition #2 and see how hard we can rock this boat!
I still say INTP'ers are the biggest assholes (myself included).

ENTJs can be assholes too. The biggest assholes I currently deal with are an ESTJ and an ESTP.
There's two assholes at work I get along with well: An XSTJ and an ESTP. But they're at each other's throats.

At work, I've had the worst experiences with ESTJs. They are unbending, stubborn, and can make your life a living hell. Talk about thinking inside the box.
Socially, I've had the worst experiences with ESxPs. They consistently try to manipulate, rip me off, and scam me. My dad was an ESFP and a huge asshole. Cared only about himself.
I can see your point about INTPs though, Johnny. I've run into several INTPs and INTJs who can be real pricks in terms of being arrogant and/or verbally abusive.

Yeah, all NTs, but ultimately their arrogance and such it's harmless - maybe it's just a biased point of view

Maybe - but then again the term asshole can also be applied to a person of a non-complimentary type. Therefore They are alwayes the asshole.

My dad's an INTJ. He's definitely an asshole. ESTPs and ESTJs can be assholes, but I've gotten along with many just fine.
As far as Hustler's point... I think different adjectives would describe other types better. Sure, we can all be assholes. But wouldn't you rather call an INFP a pussy?

All types have potential to be total assholes, but different traits of an asshole, whether it be "wishy washy, feel exactly as I do or die", or the "if you don't agree with me, I'll throw a tantrum" . Overall I'd have to go with ESxx's. ESxJ's most likely are the "assholes" we complain about here on INTPC.

heh, that's strange. One of my old roommates was the only ISFP I've ever met (to my knowledge) and he was quite an asshole. Extremely self-centred. Making himself look cool seemed to be his only goal in life, and bugger anything that stands in his way.

INTJ's tend to piss me off and I consider them to be assholes for the most part. They think they know EVERYTHING and they think what they have to say is a lot more important than what you have to say. They're notorious for saying, "ANYWAY, blah blah" right when you're in mid-sentence. They only time they back down is if you get really pissed off and get right in their face.

Biggest assholes? Haha! I haven't got a clue.
But I do know a guy at work named Ryan. From what I can gather: he's extraverted, sensing, thinking, judging. ESTJ. I do not get on with him - at all. He completely tries to dominate me with his opinions, the ones that he deems unquestionably superior to everybody else's. He doesn't let me explain my side. His judgements are absolute and they often make very little sense to me. He supports the BNP and he thinks that Harry Potter is destroying the minds of children. Oh, and he spent weeks sending me flirty text messages and trying to date me, and one time we did go on a shopping trip together. He talked, and talked, and talked, and talked some more. By the end of the day I had my headphones plugged in just so he would shut up, haha. He stomps around and slams things down onto the table during break (when he comes to sit with us), and his sentences often start with "I hate", or something similar. He's a big asshole. But I'm not going to paint all ESTJs with the same broad brush, obviously.
As for INTJs, I only know one and that's my mother. I often admire her ability to completely dismantle the doings of society, or the motives of others, in a few short concise sentences. The differences between us are very clear though. It's only because I'm her daughter that she doesn't intimidate me, but she definitely manages to intimidate everybody else. Even though I live with her, I don't know much about her. She is very secretive. I can see why people might not like INTJs very much, if they're anything like my mother. ;)

I think that ISTJs can be the biggest assholes (from personal experience). Quietly fuming to themselves and then bursting with anger at random moments, deadly annoying with their out of the blue complaints, resistance for hearing another's point of view, will find fault with you, not tell you where, but expect you to change, quick to judge other people before considering their own behavior as faulty in some regard and much much more.

I think the down and dirty is that NTs should revolt and take over the world!!! Hahaha...no...that's about half true. You shouldn't really judge a person by personality type because there is so much variation within that range. However......SJs are an exception....a lot of them really suck. Not all, but a good deal. Really bad. Close-minded, snobby, selfish....i've had problems with SJ criticism my whole life. Once AI and robotic automation becomes more prevalent in the next century, there really won't be much use for them anymore except as politicians......and MINIONS!!! (SJ: :worthy: )

But then again....I'm INTJ/INTP and i can be an asshole, so....go figure. You have to wonder though.....does the INTx bitterness maybe result as a protective barrier against other people? I mean, living in an ESxJ world i could understand how someone might want to be a dick to everyone. Most likely it's a combo of this and their inherent arrogance. Also, keep in mind that though most criminals are generally not INTx, INTxs have the most potential for evil due to their remarkably low empathy. I'm not going to name names.....but i'll give you a hint: He started the holocaust. If that's not purified asshole, then i don't know what is.

I'm caught up between ESTPs and ESTJs. See, either of which can be good and reasonable people, but at their worst, they're just too much to handle.
I have an ESTP older brother. If you're wondering, HORRIBLE type to spend a household with - as a friend, they're nice enough; they have to keep that appearance. But being all too familiar with them is not good at all. My brother is an asshole to everyone within the family, and irrespective of everyone's property, including his own. Over 20, never been employed, leeches and throws things when he doesn't get cash to go out and get pissed every night of the week. Keeps up with that ESTP seller mentality - i.e. he's full of shit. He's not going to age gracefully, at all. I'm surprised I'm related.
ESTJs just try and force you under their command. You cannot reason with them, it's *their way* or *no way*, so just don't bother dealing with them. They also have a habit of talking down people, introverts especially. Why I can't stand an ESTJ in a position authority. They're bureaucratic by nature and flunkies to their superiors.

My mom is an ENTJ, and she's very annoying. She barks orders, wants to know if you like your food, and wants to guess what you are thinking or desiring. It's great when I can get in to an intellectual discussion with her, but her sequential style of thinking makes my head spin.
My dad is an INTJ who sometimes devises an elaborate plan against me to get me to change. What an asshole! The funny thing is that an INTP (me) often beats him in his little chess game, mainly because I am ruthless. But he usually leaves me alone, fortunately.
My brother is an ESTJ... and well... he can throw his schedules and list of opinions of shoulds and should nots out the window.
And... I know a ESTP. My INTJ math professor moved him next to me... and it's torture! He won't shut up about his wide variety of sensor topics, nor does he clean his fingernails.

I don't think INTP's are assholes at all...the only times I feel that we can come across as asshole is when we are confronted with stupid people...if stupid people didn't exsist I don't feel INTP's would EVER be thought of to be assholes. I'm actually one of the few people that get's along at work with ALL my co-workers, because I can read into what exactly everyone is talking about on a giving situation and understand everyone's own view point rationally. But sometimes people just need to be told flat out..."Your stupid," then if they persisit, then have it explained in painful percering detail why they are stupid. But if you call facts stupid, then every physics/mathametican is an asshole because they go off of facts to prove their hypothesis/point.

After I have reviewed my grudge holding mind - I have to agree that many times I, an INTJ, am the biggest asshole (like my ex has stated on a few momentous occasions). I can see why I may come accross as such - and if other INTJ's are similar I can see why they would also. The general lack of empathy at crucial times are the trademark of the deciding factors that generate this reaction from people.

A good friend of mine is an ENTP. I certainly would not want to get on his bad side. He can be very manipulative. At work, I've seen him create problems in the minds of management and clients, just so that he can "solve" them and be seen as the savior.
