Everyone is paying attention. What is it you really want?
Are you smart but not doing so well in school? Do you feel angry toward your parents? Would you like advice on how to lose your virginity?
How can we try and help?

Look s0346, now you're just giving him exactly what he wants: more attention. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Humans are social beings. Humans only want to socialize with people who are similar to them. So if you are different no one wants to talk to you. We go to find places where we might fit in because society doesn't want anything to do with us.

Maybe he needs a hug. I'm really thinking he hasn't been taking his medication for his self-diagnosis of schizophrenia.
I think this is funny how it's under General Psychology.

Did you? Do you have previous experience with this scenario, Dolphin? Yes I attract crazy people all the time. I talk to them all the time, because I know if I was one of them then I would want some one to talk to me too. Everyone deserves to be loved, to be appreciated, to feel like they belong. Instead of ignoring them like everyone else, I listen.

That's a horrible argument. He is going to get the attention one way or another.
And he is banned on Intuitive.
Fuckin' punk.

Well, this is very noble of you. And now I believe everyone is listening. Attentively. So I wonder what Headfonez would like to say.

I don't believe in shame. It's an experiment, perhaps it's a mistake. If so, I will find out and don't you worry, I'll have learned my lesson.

Shame prevents us from being ourselves, being ourselves makes us happy.
Think of it this way, if he doesn't get attention now then he probably will get worse and start acting impulsively. This is when things get dangerous. Better here then IRL.

Being a forum admin for so long has turned me from a bleeding heart democratic socialist, into a protectionist capitalist.
Everyone has problems. I don't want to deal with them all.

That was very funny, Headfonez.
I think seeking attention is something we all probably know a little something about. Like Dolphin said, everyone wants to feel included, appreciated and loved. But if Dolphin is right, and that is why we act out, for attention, then it is something we should all take a closer look at, to see whether our behavior is serving our agenda or no.
I don't know. I haven't thought very much about it at all. But I wanted to see if we could help, and just to see what would happen, if we asked you if there was anything you actually wanted to say.

Being a forum admin for so long has turned me from a bleeding heart democratic socialist, into a protectionist capitalist.
Everyone has problems. I don't want to deal with them all.I been a mod on a forum with a troll who had (and this had been verified) a horrible personal life. Twenty three, mildly retarded, dropkicked as a baby sort of thing.
So she posted hardcore (some of it bloody, some of it depicting cartoon minors, and some of it both) porn repeatedly on a forum whose average age was 14 and whose server would shut us down for pornographic content. She flamed members for liking characters in series she didn't like, was barely intillegible, all that good stuff.
There was a large bleeding heart segment of the mods. I insisted that, while there are social programs out there for her, the board was not one of them. The want to run a board well, to the maximum benefit of all the members, is to not allow people with nasty lives spread it around.
So yeah. Agree wholeheartedly. Boards aren't democracies.

I hear you Meshou and Div, I was a moderator on another website, a very large virtual pet site with 400,000 players and about 10,000 of them using the boards regularly (every day) and let me tell you, I think I used to be a lot more lenient before moderating then now. You have no idea how many posts I had to delete for inappropriate content (this was a family friendly site, meaning no sexual situations, nor cursing and COPPA compliant and the idiots that posted thought they could get away with it. So many social politics with superiority and mod status, I'm glad its over.). I went from bleeding heart, lets hug the earth liberal to a more practical, slightly less liberal person after that site. I think I did turn into some perfectionist nazi by the end, but I'm slowly reverting back to my older, much more laid back sympathizing ways.

I agree, some things are not acceptable to post. Most posts are done in the playground so those I don't mind. That is the purpose of that subforum. Any post posted outside of it's intended category is a different story.
I admit that sometimes I do cross the line and I am no angel.
I think we are getting off-topic. Imagine that. Let's get back on topic by having headfonez answer s0523's original questions.

I don't understand the question. If you mean do I seek attention. I would say indeed sometimes I do. But I am typically not satisfied by attention in and of itself, I prefer to be acknowledged for things I consider to be constructive contributions, or at least have the potential for being so.

sigh. Everyone here seemed to miss the subtle irony. It's not like I hadn't paid any attention to him at all.
And it's funny how this thread started about headfonez mental state and his motives in acting like he does, and in a moment this was about whether he should be banned or not.
Now, why should he be banned? Has he violated any rules yet ? He has kept most of his spam in his own threads, which are mostly in Playground, and are arguably less spammish than say "...of souls". His only crime is plagiarism in titles.
Because he has issues?

Yes and no. I didn't actually need any confirmation he was looking for attention. Was the impetus annoyance? Somewhat, not really, To some extent, I was actually starting to get amused because he kept pushing it. At a certain point, repeating something stupid becomes funny (I find) because it gets so inane. Really I mostly wanted to see what would happen. I think I was hoping we all would sort of took care of our friend here. That just by making a thread for him, whatever we said, even if we made some fun, that would be a kind of social nurturance which might satisfy.

Opinions are like the feces of your body. We all got one, nobody wants to know about it. When you have to let it out, go to the bathroom.
