I almost hate to post this on the heels of Yet Another Pointless Argument with an Ignorant Christian, but Saint John of the Cross really does make me very happy.
From his ecstasy-denying ecstatic turmoil to his nutty life history (virgins! torture! hangin with St. Teresa!) to his Divine Poems that are also inspired by Slutty Spanish Pop Songs (of the time, you know - no lie).
