EyeByte- you must need a woman in a bad way if you are editing my quotes to make you feel more like a man.

Are you that woman??

I told you - not in front of the girlfriend.

Mg- ok that's deep. I completely agree with you on that topic. It's one of those been there done that growing up things.

Yeah. It's too bad it takes so many people so long to grow up. And looking back on the thread at hand, too bad it's taking me so long to grow up too. Oh well, live and learn right?

eyebyte - I wouldn't be that kind of anything for you. And you really have a girlfriend, oh man now I have to revamp my opinions about that.

What is with all this geeky, homophobic, depressive tendencies some people are displaying here at this site.A little bit joking around, a little bit existential crisis, a few trolls, some attention whores, and the natural tendency for INTP's to be depressed.

I think you need to get in touch with you inner homo or hetero sexual person. Thank you for the advice.

This is getting to far out of handNo offense, but it's TOO far out of hand. If you would correct that in the future, it would be appreciated.

Maybe you have an inner fantasy that needs to be let out.
Maybe.

Some of you here and I'm not pointing fingers seem repressed. Are you truely happy that way? Happily repressed? Not likely.

I pity some of you who are not in touch with there true inner being. If you would, please expound on ways for these pitiful beings to get in touch with thier inner being.

For instance people shouldn't be so judge mental about others, dig way down I'm sure some of you can do it.

Then try getting out of your shells a little and being open to new ideas, new people, and new outlooks on things.

I just won $5 - thanks. (I predicted you would errupt before 6 pm today... do not care if you are a guy or a girl - the point was to make you respond)

Now to extract on the secondary bet - let's see if my second prediction comes true. (I have got the before 6 slot - make me a winner)

And yes - I do want you... to keep playing - there is s second thing going on here (and you are helping me).

I am stubborn enough to win petty things - or so my ex tells me. :)

Was he banned??

I am kinda dissapointed - You need a person to chew on every now and then.

thus the screen name - I Do actually bite.

There's probably a reason he's your ex then. Couldn't put of with you much longer. I don't blame the poor man. I thought you might have wanted to "hit it" with those women.

And I'm not afraid of a bite.

Melange - go back and play with your little friends and leave this talk to the smart people. Wouldn't want to tax your brain and all. Well not much to tax I see.

I am glad you are not afraid of a bite - cause there are some who cannot take a joke - I joke all the time (bitch) - and it is good to see that you can hang - bitch.

I actually can't play for a while - but I get to keep the $5 - cause the bet was to get a rise from you - and despite what you say now - I know I did it.

Let's play some other time.

Wow, this is an impressive thread, regardless of its contents. Too bad I missed the most of it. Still, an extensive reply to the initial subject seems to be lacking, so here I go trying to fill in that blank. If for no other reason, then because I'm curious.

Flash Fire, I'm not at all surprised by the response you received after your first few posts. You certainly did come across as a troll to me. Now, before you go and take that as an insult, please consider that "troll" simply means something like a "person whose posts are specifically designed to generate heated arguments". And for the record, it's not the same as posting "fuck you" in every thread. The word "troll" is not necessarily meant to be taken as an insult either, just a way to describe people who like to piss others off for fun. And your first posts looked like a text-book example of it, when compared to the trolls we've had here.

For the remainder of this post I'm going to assume that you're not a troll. Because if you aren't, I like to think that what I'm about to write will be beneficial to you in the long run.

What is with all this geeky, homophobic, depressive tendencies some people are displaying here at this site.

This is getting to far out of hand. Maybe you have an inner fantasy that needs to be let out.

Some of you here and I'm not pointing fingers seem repressed. Are you truely happy that way?

I pity some of you who are not in touch with there true inner being.

Well, in my experience most INTPs are somewhat geek-ish if not complete nerds. I think it's only natural considering the traits that the INTP personality profile lists. Since you list that in combination with what you seem to be regarding as "negative" traits, I suspect you consider geekiness to be a negative trait as well. If so, why is that?

The depression seems to be a natural result of many of our traits, such as being socially inept, which most of us are to some degree (I'm certainly no exception, in fact I think I'm one of the worst cases). We also tend to be genuinely indifferent to a lot of things, and I suspect that may come across as depressive.

As for the homophobic tendencies, that's a new one for me. Wherever did you find a homophobic post on this forum? I'd be really interested in seeing at least one, it'd be like spotting the snowman (edit: "yeti"). Unless you accidentally misinterpreted a joke or something like that. Because of the liberal attitude on this forum, some of our jokes can eg. be pretty "brutal" from a feeler's POV.

You also seem to be implying that some people, or perhaps a certain someone, are/is gay but not "outed". If this is what you mean, even though I pity any poor soul who struggles with something like that and can't completely imagine what that must be like, I still can't help but wonder how that'd be any of your business. In any case, I doubt that making a post like yours is going to help matters much.

Regarding your repeated statements that the people replying to this thread are stupid and narrow-minded, I'll just have to state that my opinion on most of them is quite the opposite. As for the rest of them, in most cases I just don't know them well enough to make any such judgement. I'll have to admit, though, that a few of the people here have seemed somewhat narrow-minded to me, but even then much less so than most people I've met seem to be.

Flash Fire
9 Nov 2005, 10:56 PM
Hex child - you are breaking it to far down, you are taking it a piece by piece and not as a whole picture.

But since you did here's my take on what you wrote, *and for the record I was dared in the fuck off posts and I didn't back down* Piece by piece, geeks in general are not the issue, but geeks can feel repressed and hindered by lack of self esteem or respect.

Depression would and does result from that aspect and manifests it's self in many people, but that doesn't mean that you can treat people bad because you are depressed about life or what not in general.

Homophobic posts I could have mistaken, maybe. But that is kind of hard to do when people are putting down others who are gay. But I might be wrong in that regard. Time will tell.

And yes, people are narrow minded when it comes to other people having an opinion, this thread started out the right way to try and convince me of the error of my thought if there was one. But then attacking occurred and it fell apart.

As for the troll, if you want to think that than fine it matters not to me if I am considered a troll. I wasn't to start but I can do no other than to live up to certain expectations since these people are so much more advanced than I am and all noobs are trolls. Some may be but not all.

panda
9 Nov 2005, 11:34 PM
*and for the record I was dared in the fuck off posts and I didn't back down*
Yes, you did. You still have 7,000+ threads to go. If you don't post "fuck off" in all of them, you lose.

But that is kind of hard to do when people are putting down others who are gay. But I might be wrong in that regard. Time will tell.
Has anyone on this forum "put down" homosexuals? If so, please give specific examples. Otherwise, you're just pulling this from your ass.

And yes, people are narrow minded when it comes to other people having an opinion, this thread started out the right way to try and convince me of the error of my thought if there was one.
You seem awfully narrow-minded about homophobic people. They're people too, you know.

all noobs are trolls.
No one said that. However, when your first post to a forum is a baseless accusation, you can't expect people to think otherwise.

and just for the record - homophobic people are people you are right about that. Some homophobs are worse than others, they want to hate and degrade all gay people and to me that's not right.

everyone should be able to be who or what they choose.

Well, there's that thread that I did. I mean, just to prove a point, that people shouldn't be able to make racist threads, but it's still there. And so are all the racist threads. Which I suppose means it was all for not. Although, I think a few people posted some homophobic posts on the thread later.

You know, in all fairness.

Plus, I think there have been several cases of general close-mindedness on this forum. Not only to do with racism and sexuality, but also other types and genders.

Just saying though.

I suppose I'd view gender, not as one or the other, but as a scale with black on one end and white on the other, where the scale is varying degrees of grey inbetween.

Gender is a social construct. Sex is determined by genitalia. Even then there are various sexes.

I'm new here too, I kinda like the mind-fuck repetitive game too myself, I have had experiences with it before and I know one to see one. I just can't see why so many of us get ruffled over bullshit. I think possibly someone studying psychology or someone who is targeting the INTP might have a hayday in here.

Most people find this method of waste disposal to be inefficient, especially when they are viewing that faraway bullshit as sitting on their doorstep.
