I'm Amy, if you're referring to the Amy on the old forum. I changed my name when the forum was moved because I didn't want to post under my real name anymore.
I don't think Miss Padfoot is gone yet. I saw her post a few days ago. She has a tendency to post in bursts and go missing for several days.

When I was born, apparently naming babies "Amy" was popular. I had 6 other Amys in my grade at school before. I got in the habit of hearing my name all the time, and they usually weren't talking to/about me. As a result of being so under the radar most of my life, I always gotta double check to see if people are really talking about me when I hear my name :D

I guess I dont notice it because I expected it right from the begining.
I would have usually drifted off by now, and thats one of the main reasons I volunteered to be a mod, forces me to stick around.

Remember my fellow intp'ers, anyone's view on/of anything is only a personal perspective.
No one's opinion is wrong, as equally, no one's opinion is "absolute truth" ... an opinion can only ever be a subjective appraisal of the object in question.
Like relaxo, I'm also taking my "ticket-of-leave" from here .... contrary to what many may think, yes, there actually is a stimulating world happening outside of here and perhaps some of you (at least one day) may actually find it and live it. ;)

i know this doesn't really fit in here but yes, anyones view is a personal perspective, and no ones opinion is an "absolute truth", and it is subjective, but people are wrong and they are wrong alot ... just because we are naive doesn't mean there isn't right and wrong ... especially since we aren't dealing with absolute truths ... sorry, this strech is just a bit of a pet peeve of mine ... anyways back to the photos!

Not that I've been posting much recently, but I've got everything on earth going on in March, so I will probably not be around much (we're talking the fourth I leave for a science thing, come back late that saturday, leave early Sunday for Taste of Chaos in Dayton (if my pass ever arrives), come back Monday (I'm skipping school, again), go back to Ohio on Tuesday to go to the Cincinatti Art Museum and train station and a bascillica, then maybe, if I can remember to, go to Tennessee that Wednesday to another museum (though that just seems like pushing it...), but...wait, why am I typing all this?).
Okay, anyway, that's just half of one week and it calms down a little from there, but not much, and I have homework for once and such, so I'll probably just take a break, as I'm rather sleep-deprived.

Don't forget your 20 copies of Dan Brown's book to hand out in Vatican square..
Hmm, I nearly forgot. I only found one copy, and I've read it quite a while ago, but I'll take it with me and nonchalantly start reading it while leaning against a cathedral.
And thanks, Serotonin. All should go well unless they send out Swiss guards in pantaloons.

Getting "Songbird" and "Zedo" banned for two days was an inspired move on your part, as it spared you from having to post for them for a little while. You should have gone for a full week's ban for a longer break.

And retrospectively... ?
I've been away from the internet for the past week. Either:
a/ I felt a sudden tightening of the chest like a rubber band contracting; managed to gesticulate feebly, yet enough to draw the attention of my minions, and was rushed to cardiac surgery by helicopter.
b/ I was called away to perform an assassination.
c/ This was the only way I could avoid writing a post of such a calibre it would have actively encouraged the more self-satisfied members, devoid from birth of a sense of tragedy --- 'Deepsky's Fucking Capitalists' in particular --- to commit suicide asap.
d/ Something went wrong with my phone connection.
Take your pick. And now I have 246 new post topics to investigate, geez.

Where I'm moving to does not support Ameritech DSL, my current form of broadband, and so I will probably have to go with cable. There is supposed to be some kind of wireless hook-up offered by the complex, and I'll have to examine that. My ISP will probably change unless I want to mess with dial-up, and therefore my email address will have to change too. Which sucks. It'll be nice to finally dump some of the spammers that latched onto me here though.
I'm going to disconnect my computer to move it, of course, and my personal computer guru will help me get set up with the new arrangements. But I may be out of contact completely for a while, since I don't tend to do much internet cafe/library stuff.
When I come back, I'll get K's Lounge into shape. I'll also hopefully return a volley to D-Man too, if I can't get to that before leaving.
Until then, I will be "out of pocket".
First phase of the move was yesterday. Got about half my stuff moved. The tremendously huge Kuranes Library was mostly moved then, which made me seriously think of shrinking it. We were going from noon to 4 AM. Next Saturday is the final big push. After that it will be cleaning and loose ends. Wish me luck in the new space and getting my security deposit back here! I may have to go legal on this current landlord, who I think is going to do his best to screw me.

Although it just occured to me that if you for whatever reason can't use the umlaut it should be replaced with an e, as in Führer can be written as Fuehrer (or Finnish names like Jäätteenmäki written as "Jaeaetteenmaeki" ).
So I guess it should be "Volapuek" ?

I was thinking the same thing. He made an "I'm back" type post, and then nothing.

I'd like to know too.
We were working out a bet arrangement, then he dropped off the planet. Maybe the stakes were too high.

Okay, I'm going on vacation and will be gone for a few weeks. That means, you guys need to be on your best behavior. I don't want to hear about yelling, teasing, finger pointing, or any potty-mouth language. I want you to use your inside voices at all times; and absolutely... NO PARTIES.
Now... Claverhouse and the other madmins will be watching you while I'm gone, and I do not want to hear any bad reports upon my return. Because if I do, someones going to be in serious trouble.
And don't forget, the madmins have my phone number and can reach me at any time. So, if I have to come back early, because you guys get out of line, I will bring on some serious hurting.
Now be good and give the Doctor a kiss good-bye.

It does rock. I'm glad you posted, because I was just unwilling to ruin the perfection of the moment by posting anything right afterward. But now we can talk about its awesomeness. :D
