If you were stranded on an island, and somehow you could have only three things brought to you, what would you choose and why?
I'd bring my ipod and two girls, ;)

I'd take my satelite cellphone, a solar charger and my laptop.
So I could have internet.
No worries about bringing sex partners, I'd just tie one of you up and make you a love slave.
*laughs in a very evil way*

I guess I'd have to have a bottle of aspirin, a knife, and some porn. A sex slave would work just as...
OH NO I FORGOT ABOUT THE LUBRICATION!
its gonna be hot and dry out there you know...

I'd bring... a fridge that never runs out of food, a giant doomsday laser thing and a midget manservant. The girls would start turning up eventually... and in the meantime, I've got my laser.

A computer with internet access, a lifetime supply of pizza, and a rational, intelligent, sexually-uninhibited, beautiful woman.

Internet-capable, fairly sturdy desktop, drawing utensils, necessary survival kit (food, clothes, money, etc).
Everything else I can get thanks to FedEx, haha.

Hey...FedEx!?!?! Then I want three females as described above, a redhead, a brunette, and a blond. I'm sure one of them will lend me the use of their cellphone to order the computer and the pizza. :D
My wife. And distilling equipment - I'm gonna want fruity cocktails if it's hot and I'm on an island.

I would "somehow" have a HAARP system, a UFO, and a distiller (I'm with int on that one) brought to me.

What good would money do you on a deserted island?

Well, I think I meant money more in the sense of a checking account, with money inside it, so I can buy stuff online and get it.
No one said this island wasn't accessible :D, I got there somehow.

So... a rope, and a life raft, both tied to the boat that dropped me off. Plus food. Gotta have food.

I would bring a teleporter, like the transporters on Star trek, that runs off of solar power, with all the spare parts I would need for it, and the instruction manual. Then I could beam anything else I want to the island anytime I want.
I would also bring the replicators, so I could make anything I want, and this would also come with instructions and repair Items, so it wouldn't break down.
Last but not least, a comfortable chair to sit in while I read the instruction manuals, the replicator first, then the transporter. Then I could replicate myself some food and alchohol whilst I am learning to use the transporter.

1 very beautiful woman, 1 case of jaegermeister and a loaded shotgun for when the jaeg runs out and the woman gets boring (or learns that I'm completely unlikeable...or that company with a chimp is preferable...or drowns herself in the ocean as opposed to listening to me drone on and on about nothing.)

A survival kit with first aid supplies, matches, and emergency blanket; a good knife; and my field boots
Wow, I guess I'm not very imaginative but at least my feet won't hurt :)

You guys are true survivalists.
I'd start with a knife like this:
https://www.trackerschool.com/KnifeAboutTrack.cfm
Then I'd get a water filter, probably ceramic type that is cleanable but fine enough to get rid of smaller bacteria and cysts.
Last, I'd take a good supply of thin rope. It could be woven together for increased strength, or used by itself for a wide variety of small tasks.

If you were stranded on an island, and somehow you could have only three things brought to you, what would you choose and why?
A top-notch commercial jetplane, enough fuel to last a trip from America to China nonstop, and a prepaid ace pilot with a bag of roastbeef sandwiches and drinks in hand.
I do notice the word "only" in there, but I learned from Bedazzled that only fools like Brendan F. would not be specific.
And if being stranded on the island was a must, then I would request one fertile, compliant, attractive, intelligent, non-bitchy and great conversationalist of a woman, a bag of potato/corn seeds ensured to grow on the soil of my island, and the most reliable/useful/sturdy metal axe ever created.

Alone, on a tropical island, completely cut off from society, without anyone around? And presumably plants and fish to live off...
Sounds like a dream. Why would I want to bring anything?

Isn't it a dream?
A knife, something with a lens like a magnifying glass (for fires), and a big huge philosophy book.
I have to assume the island has fresh water, berries, and lots of lush trees with vines and stuff.
