Anyone else take the tests at myplan.com? My composite test om myplan.com using mbti (Where it figured me to be an ENTP, one percent over I) and other factors says i am 84% suited to be a biochemist. Hah.
This license code will give you free access to all four tests: SD96XSAV

Number 3 was already pretty high on my radar. Not sure about the practicality of it. Then again ... I'm a P ... what do I care if it is practical?
Also a bit bummed out that 80% is the best satisfaction rate(?) that I can hope for. I guess my present 50% solution is not much below as good as it's going to get.

Any1 try the Career Interest Inventory?
Some crazy questions:
I would rather develop transportation systems for space travel.
I would rather start my own business.
I would rather negotiate contracts for professional athletes.
I would rather put out forest fires.
I would rather catch fish as a member of a fishing crew.
I would rather design artwork for magazines.
Result: Investigative
Description:
For investigative people, learning is a lifelong exercise. They are, by nature, very curious people who take interest in complex things. They generally like science and math. They are inquisitive, analytical, and scientifically-minded. Investigative people advance civilization through force of ideas and inventions. They find problem-solving very agreeable and light up when they have a new idea. They appreciate ambiguous, abstract problems where others may find them tedious and draining. Their interest in the more prosaic areas of theory, data, and analysis often belies a more unconventional, independent and nonconformist personality.
Words People Might Use to Describe You:
Smart, Curious, Non-conformist, Rational, Analytical, Reserved, Independent,
Self-driven, Intellectual, Patient, Open-minded, Introspective, Insightful.
Things That You Probably Do In Your Spare Time:
Read, Play poker, chess or other games, Surf the Internet and use computers, Discuss science, news and politics, Go bike riding, sailing, or out for walks, Play a musical instrument.
Quite pleased with that!
On the MBTI test I was like 90s on all the INTPs, think I'm getting worse hanging around here.
Highest ranking job was 'Proofreaders & Copy Markers'. Bearing in mind I can't spell and had to take my English exams three times I'm surprised.
But having thought about it. I rip my staffs draft memos and desk instructions to bits and get loads of compliments for the stuff I write and how I organise on the company intranet. Maybe I've missed my calling. Direct sales letters here I come!

I got "Investigative" as well, along with "Enterprising" as a secondary.
Enterprising people are ambitious and competitive. They like to sell and they’re good at it; they can be very persuasive. Enterprising people are usually good at public speaking and are at ease in the spotlight. They are leaders through power of their own initiative, perseverance and confidence. Generally, they enjoy working with other people and thrive in social settings. Enterprising people enjoy leading others and working toward organizational goals and economic success. They seek positions of leadership, status and power.
On the work values portion, I scored high on these:
People who score high in the Independence cluster should look for jobs where they are left to do things on own initiative. These people also value creativity and the freedom to work alone. They should explore work where they can make decisions on their own.
People who score high in the Achievement cluster should look for jobs that let them use their best abilities. It's also important that they look for work where they can see the results of their efforts directly. They should explore jobs where they can get a strong feeling of accomplishment.
Looks pretty accurate - Except they scored me as an ENTP:
E: 53% vs 47% :I
N: 53% vs 47% :S
T: 93% vs 7% :F
P: 87% vs 13% :J
Looks like I usually score as an INTP but I sometimes come out with ENTP. I'm definitely not the quiet type... But that's about the only thing that doesn't correlate with MBTI's standard definition of an INTP.

That's a neat site, thanks for the link.
My top two results were 'Materials Engineer' and 'Marine Engineer' at 95%. 'Geologist', similar to what I'm planning to get into (geophysics) came in around 10th at 88%. Good enough for me.

After 3 years of college I finally decided on anthropology as my major. I mentally switched at least 5 different times up to this point. Now I take this test...and holy shit.
Based on the composite Score of all 4 tests:
1) Archaeology 84%
2) Anthroplogy 82%
3) Geography 82%
Why oh why couldn't I have found this site 3 years ago!

Okay, first test... surprise, surprise, I'm an INTP.
E: 13% vs. I: 87%
S: 40% v. N: 60%
T: 80% v. F: 20%
J: 20% v. P: 80%
Only surprise for me was that my "I" was stronger than my "P".
Second test:
Investigative first, then artistic.
Interests.. lawyers: 43%. Not surprising. Everything wants me to be a mathematician. Could my mom have been right?
Third test (Skills Profiler):
#1 match is management?!? 77% WTF! Second is healthcare practitioners (ugh), and third is education, training and library. Legal is at 61%.
Fourth test (Values):
Achievement (5 stars)
Independence (3.3 stars)
Support (3.3 stars)
Recognition (3 stars)
Working conditions (2.5 stars)
Relationships (2 stars)
I once took the Stong Test, around the same time I took MBTI, my two highest results were Occupational Therapist and Audiologist.
I'm not sure I'm up to doing more school for a long while though.

The problem I find with these tests, is that the aim of choosing a career is to narrow down the possibilities, but when I do these tests, I seem to identify more possibilities.

BTW, the code doesn't work anymore -- I had to take the survey thing. The code does work. It makes it look like you'll still be charged $19.95 or whatever... but when you click on the link for the test it says "licensed".

Tried that, didn't work. It said the code was already "redeemed." I gained access to all of them after the survey thing.

I recently took the Safran Student Interest Inventory, intended for adolescents, and got the same results.
My top career matches based on the Interest Inventory:
Mathematician 97%
Archaeologist 95%

Astronomer 94%
Biologist 94%
Biophysicist 94%

Hmm. I spent my first 3 years of university working toward a degree in Anthropology/Archaeology. A shame I got side-tracked! Astronomy, Geography, Zoology, and Geology are also solid interests of mine.
On the Personality Test I came out as an INTP.
Introverted 93%
Intuitive 93%
Thinker 93%
Perceiver 80%
I personally think my Perceiving score should be considerably lower and my Intuitive maybe slightly lower but otherwise it seems reasonable.
The Careers recommended through the personality test are very similar with Archaeologist at the top with 99%.
My bottom five on the Composite scoring were:
Barbers 31%
Funeral Directors 30%
Manicurists & Pedicurists 29%
Animal Trainers 28%
Motorboat Operators 26%
All that time in Beauty School shot to hell...

Say, the personality test was surprisingly accurate:
INTP
Introversion/Extraversion 87% / 13%
Intuitive/Sensor 67% / 33%
Thinking/Feeling 60% / 40%
Judging/Percieving 47% / 53%
That seems just about as right as can be.
