Of the 16 personality types, which is the most popular with the majority of the population?

Which personality type do INTPs like the most (other than INTP)?

Why?
Why?

Probably INFJ for us. In general, well, ESTP - they seem to be the ones who rise to the popularity charts in early life. Then later maybe the ENTJ's if you mean popularity to mean well-liked in society (or at least that everybody pretends to like them). Though it of course is entirely individual and depends on the personality of the people themselves.

I really only like other INTPs, but not sure I ever met ENTP IRL, so maybe them too. The rest, ehh what ever.

I can be as popular as a like, I'll confess I always strive to be in the upper layers only cause it makes life easier when people like you, and I am nothing if not lazy. Buth sloth also puts a ceiling on this effort, I am never ever "Prom King", it is just not worth the bother, I work the Ne to the point of max returns with least effort. Being the most popular has always seemed like a nightmare of dismishing returns.

No idea which type would be more popular - I didn't pay much attention. I have a feeling it would be ENFJs. It's just a feeling and I'm not stating "ENFJs are more likely to be popular." I can only really talk about school here because it's the freshest in my mind.

All the INTPs I knew at school (about 3 or 4 of them) weren't popular. They seemed to be more comfortable on the outskirts of the social circle at school. They didn't bother anybody and nobody bothered them. They were just happy to drift along and talk to whoever wanted to talk to them, and had a few good friends rather than millions of acquaintances. I was very much the same. I was on good terms with nearly everybody, regardless of how "popular" they were, but I preferred to stay in the background. Nonetheless I think the NTs at school were more likely to form their own group. There was of course the "geek" clique, mostly guys with laptops and glasses and pressed shirts talking about the Gooneys or Star Trek/Wars. I liked that group but I wasn't a part of it.

As for what types INTPs might like more... I haven't got a clue. Likely to be other NTs. Though I'm friends with a few SJs and I can hold good conversations with them. It's more about that person's actual personality than their MBTI type, I suppose.

The world loves an E. Tremendous career and social advantages being an E. An I may be admired or respected, but not likely to be popular - or particularly want to be.

My exprience was diffirent ,the ENTPs could not get enough of the INTPs.They seem to be fascinated by INTPs mysterious side, they tried to stoke us.

My best friend is an EXTP, so that makes sense to me. ENFPs are also good to get along with. INFP's bore me (i'm sure the feeling is mutual), though I think one of my good highschool friends was an INFP (we used to play board game RPGs, and he was *very* gothy). I've also never met an INFJ that I never liked.

Don't you find E's exhausting after a while?

Nah, I get along fine with most E's and can spend a lot of time with them (with appropriate times to recharge of course). Though others can be really irritating.

They get tolerable real quick after I tell them that they're annoying people. :)

I think SP and E are the most popular - because they can cause people to notice them and thusly tend to be admired.

As far as who would be popular to an INTP - ESFJ's and other NT's - ESFJ because they have a "can do" thing about them - and NT cause they "get it"

Are we on about the same definition?

Informal. To behave attentively or flatteringly toward, especially in order to restore to confidence or win over.

I have an Intp friend that I've been friends with since grade school. Although I get along with most E's (particularly NT's), I find myself wanting to break away after conversing for awhile. Still, I find myself more comfortable with my Intp friend, and the need to "recharge" is less apparent with him then I am with other types.

I guess it's because me and my intp friend talk whenever something needs to be said, or when the conversation is actual relevant (which it always is). I guess I feel more comfortable in this situation because I dont feel the need to keep up with the pretense of keeping a conversation going for the hell of it. I believe some E's, think it's awkward if one was quite for too long, which gives me a tad bit of inclination to just say "something" regardless whether or not the subject is relevant.

Oh...whoops...

I forgot to say that I think EStx, Esfx are probably the most popular. I think as people grow older, J's become more of a preference for others due to there tight schedules from work.
