Personally, I think Kerry 0wn3d Bush.

I have very little else to start, except a funny image-

I'd say an obvious INTP.

I agree. I watched the whole thing...well, I sat infront of the tube and zoned out a few times. But the TV remained on.

I thought the "rules" layed out before hand were a joke, but I think they worked extremely well.

<mod duty> topic moved to appropriate place </mod duty>

I read somewhere that Kerry was analyzed an ENTJ, or something. Either way, he seems to have a decent head on his shoulders.

Whoops, looks like I posted this in the wrong forum http://forums.maxima.org/images/smilies/gapteeth.gif

Hmmm...that's not what I thought at all. I thought he answered questions very directly. Although I am partisan.

I'm with you on the redundancy though. But I think that was because the questions were all so similiar.

I take all the crap I get from the presidential candidates with a salt mine full of salt. But I think Kerry composed himself very well against Bush, especially in his presentation. Neither of their approaches were very surprising though, and that is one reason I have very little to say about them. I mean, what's the purpose of the debates? It's basically an intellectual pissing contest intended to impress everyone, at least those who can't see through to the essential truth of the bullshit.

Kerry seems more ENFJ to me?

I'd say an obvious INTP.

I've heard that he's actually a ENTP. I had a whole argument as to why this was but I've forgotten it.

Kerry looked like Mr.Roboto, and Bush looked like a flacid penis. It was easy to tell who was more prepared. Do you think Bush will rely on his debating skills to win this election? Do you think these debates are even important to the end result?

For Bush, the hope is that no debate was ever necessary...

It was on downstairs, and like any good citizen, I ignored it. Emphatically ignored it. I'm probably going to have to listen to a certain group of knuckle-heads discuss it in class today, anyway... Bah.

Bush has limited debating skills and everyone knows it, including his administration and advisors - which is why they had set up so many rules beforehand.

I think they are of limited importance to most people, but swing voters pay attention...one interview I saw of 6 or 7 undecideds said Kerry convinced them.

Kerry just seems a lot more "anti-Bush" than "pro-Himself", it doesn't give me much reason to trust him.

That's a major reason he was nominated in the first place. And that's why my wife is voting for him.

You have every sympathy I possess, and were I American I would follow your noble lead; however, it seems an unwittingly unkind remark to make in a thread where a group is discussing it.

Such are the perils of thinking out loud.

It's even funnier when you come to realize that you would be in the majority over here.

I did notice Kerry flip-flopping a bit. I had to use a bit of Ti to figure out exactly what the common factor of all his opinions was. However, I was about ten times more impressed with him than with Bush, who used hardly any facts whatsoever. Kerry definitely seems like an NT to me, and when it comes down to it, I have infinitely more trust for NTs in office than people like Bush (ESFJ, maybe?). I know Kerry has a good head on his shoulders, and I doubt he'll do anything rash - unlike Bush.

And that is why I think all the people that think Bush will keep us safer are wrong.

Actually I was talking about Bush and I was being sarcastic.

When he made those facial expressions, Bush looked like Johnny Carson.

Kerry could have done more, but he is a "closer" and will likely save some material for the last debate. Besides, giving Bush plenty of rope (to hang himself) was a good enough strategy for the first of three debates.

I tivoed it and have watch it three times.

Kerry composed himself very well in the debate but I think he'd make a better lawyer than a president. (not being antagonistic, lawyers are a necessary evil) It's ironic that the two things about the debate that the candidates conceded to each other are each going to end up hurting the one who made the demand more than the one who agreed to it. The time constraint helped Kerry be more concise and the town hall style debate will be excellent for Bush, who does poorly in formal environments because of his casual demeanor. As for Kerry's personality, it would be funny if he was an NF- since I read somewhere that no presidents thus far have been NFs. It would be even funnier (in a more disastrous sense than humorous sense) if our first NF president was elected in a time of war.
