Hmm, I looked for a thread about this and I am either EXTREMELY unobservant, or there isnt one yet.

So yes, post your paintings here (if you've got any) :D.

This is my newest one (my first oil -and- my first human figure)

I can't seem to get a better picture without the flash, which is a bummer. And it you can hardly see the contrast on the dress (but I assure you, thre is some). It was a project we had to do based off the works of Gustav Klimt, normal(ish) skin with patterns for the background and clothing. Done with Oil paints, except for the gold which is acrylic. I have to paint over the blotch on her arm because someone manhandled it while it was drying  (it's OIL for chrissake!)

Any one else have paintings they'd like to share? :)

I like the blotch on her arm, makes you wonder how she got it the skin blemish.

Haha, Ive had several people tell me to just leave it

"Say she has a rash."
"Say that it's symbolic!"

Symbolic of what?
And what are you going to call it? Lady with Rash? :D

Hmm.. symbolic of... it's symbolic of womans struggle through the MAN'S WORLD, DON'T YOU SEE THE PAIN? THE PAIN FROM HER ARM? Her -left- arm, which makes you think she's left handed which makes you realize she is in the her "Right Mind."

I hate it when people rationalize paintings (usually abstract) like that, lol.

I've just been calling it Red and Gold, for lack of a better title.. but I don't know, Lady With Rash is pretty catchy ;)

Wow, that's really good.

I've wanted to take up painting, but alas, I already have so much in my life undone.

Well I kind of got lazy towards the end (but brightness/contrast makes everything better)
