howdy guys, im an intp (poor bastard, i know)
its cool to see this forum here... its a cool idea.
i did a jung test for my panel of psychologists last year.
they didnt really manage to help me much with my depression (although i did get a MAJOR crush for one of them). so i left after about a million sessions. **before dishing out judgement (you perceptive bunch) please read on.
anyway, after confirming the results on a website test, i followed a link here and thought back to when someone told me that depression was strongly linked with genius statistically... now i dont like to refer to myself as a genius (far from it i fear), BUT, OUR type is supposed to be big thinkers...right?... well you know what i mean. i do think alot, too much even.
ANYWAY i was just wandering about the people here. are you all big thinkers too? is there a lot of DEPRESSED folk here?
really bad or just everynow and then?
maybe ill do a poll or something.... later anyway. is good finding you all here.

Judgment is actually how you spell the word. I find it a stupid way to spell it, but that's how English is.
Oh yeah, hi.
I think both versions of the word are acceptable.
You'll find a decent amount of topics on depression here...it's pretty common.
And welcome. :)

Well, one is acceptable by people who like to apply logic to spelling. The other is acceptable by the dictionary.
Both are acceptable by this (http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=judgement) "dictionary." <shrugs />

Hm. Well, I was going to argue about dictionary.com being wrong on occasion, or at least going against what a dictionary's purpose is, but I looked it up in another dictionary and there it was, so I guess it's pointless to do that. Most dictionaries list "okay" as acceptable too, but whatever.
So...
He said wander when he meant wonder. Nyah.

Historically, and now, both forms are equally valid. Find a more comprehensive dictionary.
[ Although, to be fair, you're probably drawing from the purist well of American English, which although again equally valid, differs from the Mother Tongue in many respects. Probably very much in forms of the possessive case ].
And I'm building up to my autumnal yearly bout of depression right now.

Hi restoride, welcome to the board. Depression has been a big topic on here and we have a few past threads where polls were done on it. These threads might interest you:

I should probably contribute to the original topic now.
I've been depressed almost my whole life. There was a brief period when I actually felt good about life, and that was during my senior year of high school. That's it though. It's almost a comforting feeling at this point I think, as much as that sounds like it contradicts itself. Sometimes I'll think about suicide and whatnot, but I think of it more as a practical thing to do rather than how I used to think about how it'd make other people feel. I'm pretty sure I'll never kill myself though.

Welcome -
Been cursed with the depression bug but I must say it's gotten better over the past few years. Still not perky though. Trying not to tie emotion to circumstance. I've had quite a bit of surpressed anger that I've been praying through. I mean really pissed off but so surpressed I wouldn't have known (admitted) it was a problem.
So how 'bout a few more details about your life? What do you do? What do you like to do for fun? What became of the crush?

Yeah welcome. I'm fairly new here as well.
<accent> Another aussie aye mate? </accent>
I could probably be considered depressed on-and-off. I'd usually be too embarrased to admit it though, so I've never looked for any help for it.
I think it occasionally seems to have a connection with being tired.
I also pay close attention to the effect caffine has on me, and try to limit my use of it.
Saw in your profile, you're into motorbikes?
Do you have some kind of insane jap sports bike? Something like that would sure be good for blow'n-off a bit of depression. I'm always impressed when people tell me the specs of those things.

Some of us here scrutinise others' posts for the faintest dereliction in their spelling/grammar. In the interests of cosmic balance I then examine these complaints carefully and point out the mistakes contained therein.

hmmm....
what strange bunch you are....
ok... the crush was left too the wind because it she was 34 and married and i actually have a gf. i dont let these thing get beyond the plutonic level... so to speak. hey, attractive woman showing interest in my miserable plight and calmly and nuturingly trying to help me by talking softly and sutff...
who wouldnt fall for that... smart and hot!!!
uh.. mototrbike is much too fast, because risking my life at high speed makes me appreciate it more. gsxr750, 85 model i restored myself from some other poor bastards fatal crash btw.
many people say their depressed, but arnt. many who say they are not are, so pinch of salt factor applies.
(wew) AND, what was that other question?
you people kinda scare me, at first i was worried about finding out what indentity i have left would be lost (cause the intp type descriptions are eerily spot on for me)... which doesnt seem to be the case so far. and also if your are like me at all... well its messed up having us all in one place, we might take over the world in a strange intellectual bloody coupe or sumthin, have some weird lego orgy, or start some illuminati group based on literacy characters...
hmmm... did you know that if we are all depressed... then its a personality trait and not a disease... which means its not really depression... which means there is no cure? Or maybe, we are just vulnerable....
or maybe... blah blah blah...
this forum is going to be fun...
(and on the internet, spelling counts for krap btw!)
hmmm....

Ah, shucks. Really? Thanks! :)

It was a retorical question, to provoke thought.
