Well hello there! A friend recommended that I stop by here. I've known I was an INTP for a couple of years now. I took the test at work and its the first time I've seen a personality indicator have such a spot-on match.

That striped, long-faced pig in your picture looks like it is in a cold place which is not Texas.

...the sand? Perhaps you should have chosen an Ostrich. :)

The sad zebra is in Colorado. I figured a zebra is about as likely to be in snow as an INTP in the world at large, so I picked it for my pic.

~*Aven*~It's at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs. This was taken when I was in that neighborhood a couple of years ago for a conference. There's this zoo of eclectic animals that were owned by they guy who originally owned the Broadmoor (IIRC). My sister was with me, and she's way into zoos....so we had to visit even though it was 30 degrees.

Thanks for the welcome!

Howdy, fellow Texan.

If you're Texan, how come your location says Tejas?

Anyway, wilkommen, Ponderous.

I think it is a misspelling of the Spanish "Texas."

I could be wrong. My observation is that in Spanish, we write "Mexico" as "Mexico;" not "Mejico," even though that is how we pronounce it.

Texas, or Tejas, is named for the Tejas tribe. Tejas is a commonly used spelling--not misspelling--of Texas.

http://encyclopedia.thefreedictionary.com/Tejas

"Tejas" (spanish) is a misspelling of "Teychas" (native tribe's word for friend).

Spanish does not generally use an "X," but the X in Mexico is a nod to it's Aztec roots ( Aztecs used the letter plenty).

Maybe I will just spell it "Pendexo."

Wow, where to start?

He hoped and prayed that there wasn't an afterlife. Then he realized there was a contradiction involved here and merely hoped that there wasn't an afterlife.
Douglas Adams (1952 - 2001)

Douglas Adams rocks. I’m currently re-reading the Hitchhiker’s 5-part trilogy. I know I enjoyed it when I first read it, but this is one of those – read it again as an adult and appreciate so much more – things.

Well said. You beat me to it.

"We may be young, but we're not powerless. We play by their rules long enough and it becomes our game."
- Valentine ("Ender's Game")

Another fine piece of literature. Actually, I just picked up Ender’s game for the first time last summer. I rather enjoyed it and Ender’s Shadow, but wasn’t so much on the rest of the series (Speaker, Xenocide, Children…, Shadow…)
