I wonder if a crush is actually a biological function to knock somebody out of their indifferent orbit and get them interested in the opposite sex. Any experience or knowledge support this?

Pheromones, that's as far as I know about Biology.

Experience...yeah...but also voice, way they talk/smile/walk, etc.
