It's raining here, and I'm stuck inside. It hasn't rained in ages... I want to be out running around getting soaked. How about the rest of you? What do you think about rain?

I am in Petersburg Alaska , situated in the Togass National Forest. Its a temperate rainforest where it has been known to rain for weeks on end ! Personally I only like the rain if its not windy or cold at the same time .

Depends. I'm in the South, and in Georgia the rain comes down in buckets, but its warm rain in the summer. If lightening isn't in it I like it. I've been known to have such a good time running on the beach in the rain.
If its cold I don't mind walking in the rain if I have a good squall jacket on. Indoors, I like to bake pies when its raining and listen to Taj Mahals "Light rain, light rain" song. Rain is fine if you have some days interspersed with sunshine and its not like a month long thing. I don't really think I'd want to live in Seattle, I went there this summer and it was so cold compared to the South, it felt great to step off the plane into 110 degree humidity again.

In small doses. I like thundershowers but I hate day after day of grey drizzle.
Where I live (Winnipeg), the winters are so insanely sadistic that I need summer to be warm and sunny. Plus, lots of rain means lots of mosquitoes and too damn much mowing the lawn.
PS> I had to google to find out what the heck a bumbershoot is.

It's a cool word, though... I wonder where it's from?

Not a big fan of rain, but for some reason I always liked foggy days (unless I'm driving). Probably because it mean I can pay even LESS attention to the outside world. Plus it looks cool.

I love rain at night, with thunder. During the day it's good, so long as it doesn't start pouring when I'm trying to get somewhere.

I love a good old heavy downpour, without any wind. Wind means I can't easily use an umbrella. I love umbrella, especially large black umbrellas with the metal point on the end ^_^.
It's something about the sound heavy rain makes that I love too....

Rain is excellent. Wind is often nice, particularly to listen to ( though I've had kittens who hated the sound ). Storms are really really good.
I don't like sun though.

I love really dramatic weather. Big snow storms are my favorite - one of the reasons I love it here in the winter is that it will snow for a couple days, then be sunny and warm for a few. Afternoon thunderstorms in the summer have been great - cools off the air for mellow nights. :) When I lived in Phoenix I loved monsoon season too.
The only thing I don't like is cold wind - the kind that gets through your clothes, skin, and right to the bone. Brrr.
I love Texas thunderstorms. Like a cat, I get really excited right before a storm, but then I settle down to some hot tea and a good book.

Rain what?
Seriously, living in the AZ desert sucks. We get no interesting weather. The monsoon is hit/miss which sucks. I love the rain, but it only rains ~5 days(read hours) here.

Yup, we had a good summer.
Where I am from it always rains, I love drizzle, but it seems it makes you soaked, still, I love rain.

It's such a pain in the butt to try to get anywhere in LA when it rains that I almost feel snow bound by it and not want to bare it. Never really a fan of the stuff in the first place.
If it rains at night while I'm sleeping, I'm cool with that. This city can actually be really beautiful the morning after a shower. But it's hard to enjoy knowing it'll add twenty minutes to a simple five minute drive.

I adore rain. If I could be in a location where it rains the majority of the time, I wouldn't really mind. I like sunshine every once and a while, but have always preferred cold weather to warm.

I absolutely love the rain, in any amount. I have found that there is nothing more calming than sitting out in the rain when there is no wind and just let it fall on me until it stops or until I get too cold. I live south of Seattle and I love that we get lots of rain here. I wouldn't live anywhere else.
Hey, why we talking about the weather? I thought we weren't comfortable with such trivial subjects. ;)

I like thunderstorms. Especially at night when I am falling asleep.
I used to have a recording of a thunderstorm to help me fall asleep. It seems to calm my brain down a bit.

I like rain except for when it is freezing cold.

Depends on what kind of day I'm having. I undergo a constant self-confliction battle without schizophrenia diagnosis.
Yes, it rained when I was born. (somewhere)
Yes, alot was blamed on me growing up during the post release of Milli Vinilli's "Blame it on the Rain."
I am often told to go away. Even by Trent Reznor. lol
Come forth with a cheesy joke I haven't heard and I will give you a Raine shower of props!

I cannot say I really care about any form of weather, I tend to ignore the elements, sun, rain, storms, it's no big deal to me, even if I'm in the middle of it.

I like rain in the afternoon and at night. I like rain when I've nothing to do.
I don't like rain when I have to go out in it, or whenever it otherwise inconveniences me.
I love rain at night, when I'm about to go to sleep. I also enjoy summer showers , the ones that cool things down and have that wonderful "electric" (possibly ozone?) smell to them right before they happen.

It's been drizzling a little bit for the past few days... oh well. Not much more than that.

Count me in for loving the rain too, especially thunderstorms.
It also seems that I'm able to feed off of the bad moods that rain-and-gray puts most people in. Maybe I'm just a little evil...
i love rain... but i like storms better. i tend to get really into dramatic weather events. i'm also studying meteorology (or will be studying it) so i'm slightly biased.

I love the rain. I even like being out in it as long as it's not cold. Especially a warm shower in the summer.

I used to live in NC... hurricane country... I loved listening to those. Being out in the opening stages was pretty cool too... you can jump a long way in high wind if you wear a poncho.

Rain is a wonderful thing. Heavy fog is just as good, unless you're driving.

Ah, I like fog and haze. I tend to like humidity also, as long as it isn't hotter than the 70s. Warm humid nights rock.
I'm not particularly fond of walking through the city in cold and/or heavy rain. Freezing rain/sleet can be interesting, and I love the beauty of ice on the trees. (Ice on the sidewalks and streets is preferably avoided.)
