There is some free MBTI software (MBTI testing and information)

Located Here (http://www.genioware.com/dcmeet/register.asp)

Take a look - rant, rave, critisize.

What the hell ... its free.

Like I said, I've wanted something like this since I first found the MBTI. The information sections really make it useful. It might be nice to have additional sections for more anecdotal information on various types by people of that type.

Very good idea - I know there are some statistics in the works as well as some custom print outs (other languages too).

Good for telling you what type you are. Bad for finding out % of each type. Excellent organization and structure. Information referenced from personalitypage.com. I give it a 7 out of 10.

As one of the testers of this fine application, I rate it 100% :

Eyebyte worked some long hours on this application, and it shows. Very top notch, professional program. Outstanding! :rocker:

short test: infp
long test: intp

It seemed like the majority of the questions were varied addresses of the basic J/P distinction, though I can't be too sure how the scoring was done. It was enjoyable to complete though.

I got it to work! *happy* I particularly like how ENFJ is the first on the list of types under type info. Subliminal messages eyebyte?

ha, I took tests so many times that I don't even need to question myself of what type I am. I'm forever an INTP. It takes experience. I use to have INTP, INFP, INTJ, ENFJ. Eventually, it became obvious that I'm INTP.

long test:

I-80.oo
N-70.oo
T-70.oo
J-65.oo

I think the southern accent shows...somewhat. :)

I'm not surprised by the result and liked the question layout. I can't _don't have the time_ to put my finger on it, but it seems there is a ...um...cultural/generational element to this that seems missing from some other 'tests'. Vague, yes, but I'm tired. Sorry

Hmm, not bad.

I took the short test and got I - 100%, N - 83%, T - 80%, P - 100%

Short test results

I (60.00%)
S (66.67)
F (80.00%)
P (66.67%)

Now I'm really confused!

I Never test as "I" I'm very shy but no doubt that I'm an E.

THe F is a little higher than normal.

D (70)

Short:
I - 80%
N - 75%
F - 60%
J - 66.67%
Long:
I - 50%
N - 70%
F - 55%
J - 65%

So I guess that would make me a INFJ then.

I got something like I: 80% N 70% T: 100% and P: 65% on the long test. All seems reasonable to me. 100% T though? I know I'm a strong thinker but hey.

The test doesn't measure the strength/quality of your thinking capabilities. It just means that out of X number of T/F related questions, you answered all of them as a T would. There is a 100% (or very high) probability you are a T and not an F, based on how you answered the T/F related questions. Even if you score 100% T, you could potentially be the most dense T in your type category.

Ah. I just cling to logic because logic doesn't betray you. :puppy: Usually.

Or make a Mac version. We're just not compatible right now.

The tests cannot be run on Windows 2000, but reading the type information has made me doubt my INTPness... for the 1574th time, or some other exaggerated number. Since I am in no position to offer any criticism/praise/test results, for the time being, please accept my insincere thanks for throwing me into yet another identity crisis -- Were it not for your obstructive disclaimers, I would be holding you accountable for a proper analysis of this poor, confused teenager. My only means of venting out my non-existent frustration at not being able to get my own way is by throwing this insignificant spelling error at the cunning author: "You already have a test open. You tried opeining the long version."

Oh and, I just found out that the tests don't work on this WinXP computer either. Hmm...

You may need to download the .NET frame work 1.1 (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=262d25e3-f589-4842-8157-034d1e7cf3a3&displaylang=en) and install it first. This should allow all windows versions after Win 98 to run this program. Let me know if it does not.

I took it and got all high percentages for INT & P. I used to get in the 50 range for T and P. I can't take these tests anymore because I basically know what all the questions are measuring and I can't be objective about it.

My husband got tested as an N. Whatever!
