A request for yet ANOTHER forum catagory:
"The Advice Collum" -- ask for advice in this forum!
So when it shows up, (it WILL) it doesn't clog up the other forums and annoy anyone who doesn't want to hear it. This forum is going to get bigger and people are going to ask advice and it'll appear everywhere else but one place.

Could someone please help me? Most of the the topics in the local pub don't interest me. As you can see, I'm not posting as much these days. And yet, everytime I hit refresh, there are all these topics I don't care about. Could someone please make separate categories for them?
Thanks.

As for the original question, I think the best place for advice would be under the category for the type of advice being asked for. For example, if you want suggestions on which linux would be best for your file server, ask it in geeky gadgets. If you want tips on drawing better, ask it in the art forum. If you're looking for sex advice, post it in mature audience. I think the responses would be better because those who have an interest in those topics would be more likely to look at those forums, rather than sorting through topics that can have a very broad range bunched together in one category.

I'll second this. I thought of adding something intelligent here, but Jezebel's post pretty nicely sums it up.

I have to second NGene on that.
And if they can't find any catagory that suits their question then they can always ask it at the pub.
