Most of the animation: It's always interesting to watch an election to see how long it takes to degenerate into 'Vote for me 'cause my opponent's a dirtbag!'.
End screen: "No matter who you vote for, the government always gets in." - anarchist truism

Sometimes one cannot provide absolute clarity (a.k.a. prove) for one's views. The next best thing, logically, is to prove that your opponent is wrong. Of course this isn't usually done. The opponents just talk about morals, which are generally not well developed, and thus stray from logic. Oh well...

Trying to prove that your opponent is wrong is one thing, trying to prove they're the scum of the earth is another (although admittedly not to some people, otherwise the tactic wouldn't have survived).
Some of the issue-based advertising we're seeing now gets closer to the ideal, and seems more effective as a result.

I said that they deviated from the objective version.

Fair enough. It's late and can't think all that well.

Why did politics have to become such a media darling? Oh, for the days of the Forum, where politicians really were average guys and only got paid what they would have made anyway.

You're referring to Roman times, right ? When a small group of aristocrats dominated everyone & paid themselves by giving each other appointments in public service...

Oh that was funny! I thought the Big Foot truck was very appropriate. :D

Oh well...Speaking of politicians and morals, has anyone read The President of Good and Evil (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0525948139/qid=1092618591/sr=8-1/ref=pd_ka_1/103-7832887-8855855?v=glance&s=books&n=507846)? I saw it in an airport bookstore today, and I was leafing through it but we had to board the plane before I could get a good idea of its content. I'm wondering if it's good.
Div, it sounds like the kind of book you'd like :)
