I share an office with a guy who is ok except he makes mouth noises
and it is starting to drive me crazy.
Hes got one of those cyclist water bottles which he sucks on making this really iritating noise, also he slurps his cofee and that really gets to me.

Water bottles, eh ?

Surreptitiously add a tiny amount of sugar to the bottle ( Make sure he's not diabetic ); place a small clear bottle of a yellow-tinted liquid on your desk; glance over at his bottle whenever he drinks and giggle slyly.

Poison him.

Got speakers on the PC?

If so, find a good slurping wav. Play it when he's doing that annoying stuff to his coffee. Do the same for the sucking.

Play it loud! He'll get the point and laugh if he's a good guy. Probably doesn't even realize he's doing it.

Not really on topic... I percuss. All the time. Tapping on this, drumming on that... drives some people absolutely stark raving bonkers, but hey, it's what I do. I'm not bad at it... but it's continuous. If I find something that makes a cool noise when I hit it, I'm stuck. Unloading the dishwasher takes ages because I'm busy drumming.

Anyhoo... for waterbottle man, use playdough, and stick a small blob on the inside of the nozzle, so it blocks the water from getting through. That, or get him a bottle that doesn't have a nozzle on it... if you don't mind the expense.

Replace the water with everclear. Or paint thinner.

Earmuffs?
Seriously though, just tell him it bothers you. Like Groty said, he probably isn't aware of it.
THEN, if he doesn't stop, you have just cause to go to war.

Ahem ... aren't INTPs supposed to be oblivious to superficial environmental noises such as these?

Isn't complaining about such trivialities for social decorum decidedly SJ behavior? :D

Actually, it's the SJs behavior to inform someone of their disgust. I have a lot of disgust for things, but "live and let live".

I can relate to this. My sister used to make this mouth noise that I just couldn't stand for some reason. What's odd is that normally I'm extremely good at filtering out background noise... Often someone will point something out like a loud fan, and I won't have even noticed it until they pointed it out.

I can't stand when people make noises with their mouths. For example, the other day I was taking a test and the guy behind me was chewing gum and I almost went insane...I couldn't even concentrate!

I had to really laugh at Grotys suggestion, that might just work!

Normally I am not bothered by background noise, but this sucking sound he makes is just getting to me, really bad.
Oh, and he talks _loudly_ on his cellphone.

I cant stand it when people keep constantly sniffling. I had to take a test for eart dynamics and the guy beside me was sniffling. I was ready to scream at him. I couldn't concentrate on the test. Also I hate it when people shout their telephone conversations to the world. My brother would be on his cell and I could hear him talking from across the street. He is really loud on his damn cellphone. Tell the guy to stop or you are going to take that water bottle and shove it up his nose. People just piss me off.

Oh no seems quite angry at people in general these days. More like an INTP than an INFP.
