Just gives the Conservatives more fodder. They will argue that he has stronger international relations in the face of the faceless terrorists.

Putin is just hoping to get Bush to help defray some of his costs with the Chechen problems. He hopes to turn what has been a Russion problem into a "global war on terror" problem so the US will pitch in.

This survey tends to indicate Russians are listening.

I wish they would've given the Chechen's their independence when the had the chance. Unfortunately, it's same old shit. Grozny has a major oil pipeline running through it.
