As a person that puts as much in his pockets as needed, I was wondering if other INTPs have similar habits. I tend to travel lightly, but damned if my pockets aren't filled to capacity or damn near everywhere I go.
The most frequently recurring guests are:
- Wallet
- Paper money (That's right, most of the time my money isn't in my wallet. The wallet serves more as a paper weight)
- Hankerchief
- Keys
- Quarters, should the need arise
- Aquaphor for my dry lips
- Box cutter
- Cell phone, provided I even remember I own one.
EDIT: Could a moderator please change my poll title so I don't look like I complete (Universal*cough*) fool? Thanks.

For some people I guess...I have a USB flashdrive, and if I was still in science/math classes I would be carrying my calculator.
Other than that...just random pieces of paper I draw in, I think that's it, aside from the normal stuff.

left pocket - cellphone
right pocket - wallet, keys
I used to keep my wallet in my back pocket but it wasn't comfortable sitting on my wallet so I moved it to the front.

I absolutely hate to have stuff in my pockets. The first thing I do when I get home, or where ever else I'm making myself comfortable, is empty my pockets. The "stuff" would include keys, phone, wallet, and a can of copenhagen.

Keys, some paper money.
I generally try to not become too dependent on things.

I'm like nobarcode. Hate having stuff in my pockets. If necessary, I will carry wallet and keys and any change I collect when out. Except pennies, which I throw away immediately. If I have a jacket on, I transfer everything to the jacket. When I get home, I empty my pockets immediately.

I'm also with nobarcode and SensEye. When I get home, everything (keys, wallet, loose change of the day) comes out of the pockets and the watch comes off the wrist too. And then I change into something more comfortable. On the weekends the ideal is to stay in PJs all day long and never worry about such things as pockets.
I also never put change into my pockets at the beginning of the day. So I only ever have change if I've bought something with cash at some point earlier in the day. And this is the reason I have an ever accumulating jug of coins at home.

I normally just carry loose cash in my pockets, but rarely empty them. Occasionally I will put on something I haven't warn in months and find a few bucks :)

My left front pocket is always filled because I have too many keys. Also lip balm and this little blue plastic case I put my vitamins and allergy medication in. This pocket used to contain a cell phone when I had one.
My right front pocket contains my wallet. The wallet is huge because I put everything in their I think I might need in almost any contingency.
I don't put any thing in my back pockets because it is uncomfortable to sit on.
Right Pocket: Keys (with swiss army knife), change - in the hidden pocket there's often a lighter
Left Pocket: Cell Phone, cigarettes (if I broke down and bought a pack)
Back Right Pocket: Wallet
Back Left Pocket: Any business cards or papers I've acquired in the day.

Good, I am glad that I am not the only person who carries their wallet in the front pocket. It just seems to make sense, especially if in a crowded place. On the other hand, I rarely carry my wallet on my person. I usually put it in a safe place in my vehicle.
As for things in my pockets, keys (either pocket), change in the other. Currently I am carrying a tube of carmex which I will lose in the next week or so.

Left front pocket: $5.18 -> Four ones, four quarters, one dime, eight pennies (I hate pennies), and a reciept from the c.d. I bought today (Elliott Smith - From A Basement On The Hill).
Right front pocket: Two cherry cough drops (well, there were two), two tubes of Burt's Bees, and one tube of lip stick.
Left back pocket: Lint.
Right back pocket: A crumpled calculator pass.
The only other things I ever really carry in my pockets is my wallet when I don't want to deal with a purse, or a cell-phone when forced and expecting a call.

Back left: Empty.
Back right: Wallet.
Front left: Cell phone.
Front right: Keychain (it's a stick of RAM :nerd: ) Pen, pencil, and flash drive if I need it. Change if I have it.
Back pockets should not button, and front pockets should be big enough to fit my hands in, and I have big hands.

I carry a purse but also put a lot of things in my pockets. The most common occupants are change, dollar bills, chapstick, keys, hair ties/barrettes, lighters, receipts, notes, and any other small item I happened to be using that day. I didn't start carrying a purse until after college (before then it was ok to carry a backpack everywhere I went).

I've always lots of things in my pockets...but what annoys me are the 15-20 small scraps of paper that accumulate each day, with worthless "notes to self" written on them.
I always write them, everything from web-addresses to phone numbers to action plans and to-do notes....but I never ever read any of them.
I can't break from the habit, and I have trouble throwing them away (as if I might read them sometime...something's important perhaps...)
Usually, my bedside table accumulates a hundred or so of them, and then I have to throw them away. For some reason I feel sad when I do...
It's an irritation whenever I think of it.

No, rarely put things in pockets, except when I want to grocery shop and don't want my purse with credit cards, and put cash in my pockets so I won't overspend. My purse has EVERYTHING but the kitchen sink in it. Anytime anyone needs anything I almost always have it in my purse. I carry my purse around so much its like my companion. I've had people at work come to me and say "most people lock thier purses up and don't carry them around". But its like a security to me and I almost always need something out of it, so its an extension of myself really, and can't walk around without it.

I carry my cellphone, wallet, money, any little papers that have been given to me for the day, menthol chapstick (mmmm) car keys, house keys and occasionally a couple batteries. I hate carrying a purse because I leave it every where. Right now I am also carrying my violin and my book bag.

front right: car keys, house keys (I keep them on seperate key chains so I don't break the ignition, consequently, it causes me to lose my house keys frequently), and at least one pen
front left: Cigarettes, bic lighter, paper money, change, cell phone (if I remember it)and scraps of paper I have written on and think I will need, but eventually end up throwing out anyway
back right: Wallet
belt: Zippo
also, I leave everything in my pockets, and when I change clothes, I transfer everything from one pair of pants to another, except for any trash that I then throw away

I finally abandoned my wallet somewhat recently. Can't believe I sat on something so useless for so long.

I hate having things in my pockets. I can feel the bulge and it just annoys me all day. I will take everything off my keychain, sometimes just carrying a single key by itself to avoid any unnecessary bulging. Only time I dont mind is if its the pockets of my big winter jacket. Best part of winter ... more pockets.
Oh and I hate purses, even worse than a bulge is something you have to carry around and babysit all day.

Great thread so far... I can sympathize with both the pocket-stuffers and the I-hate-stuff-in-my-pockets-people. Though it irritates me to see and feel my fat wallet and cell phone bulge from their confines, it's the best place I can think of putting them. I don't trust putting my wallet in my backpack, and a cell phone in there would be inconvenient. On the bright side, I have developed a "cool" method of whipping out my cell phone and checking the time and putting it back again.
I too empty out loose change and it has no jar to go in :/

I *hate* carrying a purse. I like to keep my hands free. I don't like having stuff dangling off my shoulder. I lose anything that isn't attached except the kids, but that's only because they scream and follow me if it looks like I'm taking off without them. Having to keep track of a purse is a hastle I don't need.
I have a little zipper bag that my husband got as a freebee when he was working at amazon. I think it used to be a sewing kit. Now it's a wallet of sorts. It's filled with all the plastic cards and business cards that keep reproducing when I'm not looking. It lives in my right back pocket. If I've grabbed my husband's cell phone, it goes in the left back pocket. Right front pocket has money (I dump out the pennies at home and sometimes the nickles and dimes) and a tube of Burt's Bees lip balm. Left pocket is money I'm not supposed to spend, like the kid's allowance or change from something that I picked up for someone. I like to keep my keys on a D ring, front right belt loop.
Not very girly, I guess.

i put everything in my pockets. chapstick, money, memory stick, paper, notices, keys, guitar picks, cell phone, legal documents, sheet music, bobby pins...etc. People are always telling me I should carry a purse, but I see no need for such things. I keep track of it all without difficulty.

Wow, some of you guys would be worth mugging, except for the chapstick I suppose (unless you wanted a DNA sample!).
Me, not much. I never carry change (annoying jingly stuff). Keys to a minimum, cards only the bare minimum (one or two and no store rewards etc). And even then they live in the PDA wallet (so I have a wallet/palm combo).

i used to carry stuff in my pockets, then my brother bought me this quaintly embroidered bag/purse from Guatemala, so now I use that. Though if I'm just going on an errand and wearing jeans I may just put money in my pocket.

Right Front:
Chapstick, Bic Lighter, Box Cutter / Knife, Key's alternate pockets...left and right, change, occasionally a zippo lighter (in addiction to the Bic and only if I'm not wearing a coat).
Left Front: Cigarettes, Main key pocket (I have several keys), occasionally a bowl / pinch hitter
Right rear: Wallet
Left Rear: Gloves during winter, "sweat rag" during the summer.
Coat pockets: Zippo lighter, Cable Ties and clips, random tools

I occasionally carry a mobile phone in my pocket, usually about £5 in loose change and about £20-£30 in notes.
I don't like my pockets being full, or even anywhere near full. Therefore I carry the 2-3 knives in either the top of my socks, looseley tied on on my arm...near my wrist..underneath my clothing, or on my belt.
I figure that if your pockets are less full, you look like less of a target for muggers ¬_¬

for me, chapstick. that's the only must. If I plan on buying something, I'll bring my wallet (didn't used to, just took the money lol), and if I'm gonna be seeing a girl or something, I'll bring gum (minty variety). That's about it.
