Hi,
I just found this board. Are there any other INTPs that majored in English, and/or are interested in literature, theology, the arts, and social justice?

Cheers!

We are pretty much interested in everything. We're INTPs.

I appreciate the arts but depends on your definition...

Yup, I'd agree there.
Why does your post look like it's being slightly sarcastic, Darth?

Anyway, wilkommen, dbedsole.

Cloakable,

You're English, eh? I spent a semester at Cambridge in college. I miss it a lot--England is so beautiful. My wife and I hope to live in the UK for a year or two after I finish seminary.

I'm sure Mr. MacGuffin didn't mean to be sarcastic. Maybe he thinks I know more about INTP's than I actually do. Maybe it was a stupid question. I'm very much in the process of learning about the personality type, although so far it is spot on, for me anyway.

Oh...and my definition of the arts, f c?
I don't really know what that means. Do you want me to be more specific about what sorts of art I'm passionate about?
Singer-songwriters (Steve Earle, Elvis Costello, Lucinda Williams, Townes Van Zandt, Ron Sexsmith), poetry, literature, abstract art, gourmet cooking, playing piano and guitar, etc.

I can't speak for MacGuffin, but sarcasm seems to be a pretty integeral part of the INTP psyche. It seems to spring from good analytical skills. Most of the people on this board have that. And you'll encounter a fair bit of sarcasm on this board - not meant offensively, but just as a form of humor. If you want to see INTP's being offensive, run a search for 'Universal' on this forum. :D I personally find the results rather funny.

And, no, I don't think that the question was stupid.

Hi! Like Darth McMuffin says, we're game. How about starting a thread on one of them and getting a dbate going?

Um, yeah I didn't mean to sound/read sarcastic. I actually was giving a straight answer. Theology, literature, etc. Bring it on!

Not that I can't be a sarcastic ass at times.
