No wonder Voyager is my favorite Star Trek series - fully a quarter of the main cast is INTP!

    Nice couplet. I hate you.

More into the results of the introspections of others. He was much more into seeking council and practical solutions than discovering them on his own.

and Raph is an "I" like I am Paris, France.
I'd say his 'E'-ish moments are comprized primarily of wisecracks and ticking-timebomb-ish cries for attention. He was also the most likely to go solo when he didn't get his way; he's the poster-boy for unstable ISTPs.

not sure that it means much, but did you see the latest movie? splinter sent him off on his own to 'grow' through introspection in order to become a better leader, and he was gone for a full year without coming to any conclusions about how to do so. he only returned upon april showing up to say he was needed, and then only begrudgingly because he didn't think he had learned anything.

again, in the movie, it shows this a lot. when leo left for that year, raph, indeed, went completely solo to fight crime. and, he didn't tell a soul. none of the others knew what he was doing. they thought he slept all day and wasn't doing anything with his life.

Since I quit watching TV, I've been way out of the campy pop-culture loop. I wasn't even aware it existed!

That's just depressing. If I were Splinter, I'd consider mutating a fresh batch of turtles to see if I could come up with an acceptable leader.

I didn't see the movie either, but I'm guessing the point is that he did learn something in that year, he just didn't realise it. Makes the fight scene where he discovers his new-found skill / power that much more dramatic.

Anyway, what about Bebop and Rocksteady?

actually, in the movie, leo screwed up and told raphael that he's better than he is, and raphael kicked his ass. (whoops!)

it was splinter who eventually got through to him by telling him that it's his 'lack of balancing his passion with calmness' that kept him from being the 'leader'. even though raph told him "maybe i don't want to be led."
