    Default FM 100 Hue Test

    http://www.xrite.com/custom_page.aspx?PageID=77

has anyone ever taken this test?

i scored 0, which means i'm supposed to have "perfect color vision" (amazing to me since i rarely score perfect on anything). most online tests are bunk and i don't want to jump to conclusions, though i've always suspected that i am more sensitive to color than the average person. screencap for proof.

i'm wondering if there's something to this test or if it's just easier than it looks. what did you get?

    Your score: 15

A lower score is better, with ZERO being the perfect score. The bars above show the regions of the color spectrum where hue discrimination is low.

Maybe you have a good monitor. I got a higher score. And I think the colors lined up nicely. I could see difference in hue in all of them.

Could be just a difference in perception.

I'm worse at making the difference in the blue-green tones.

Edit: After two edits, down to 8. Perfect after the third.

    23. I don't see the differences between blue green tones. But I did see the colors better at different angles. I'm not sure if it's just difference in perception or something.

Be aware that not all monitors are set to display hue values propperly. You usualy need to tweak either of RGB channels (+ hue/saturation/brightness/contrast/luminosity) to get exact presentation of each and every value (of the colors in the test).

yeah, i guess monitor display would matter, and even stuff like how good or bad your vision is. it was 5 AM when i took it, my brain was fried and i didn't think of that at all. i still thought it was an interesting test, although i'm not sure if the ability to detect subtleties in color better than some should be considered a sign of any kind of intelligence.
