    Default Pictures From Bosnia

I am currently on a trip to Bosnia to visit family and relax. Now that things are coming to a close (I am leaving on Wednesday) and I have some time to share some of the pictures I have gathered.

    Cevapi (The Bosnian Fast Food)

    Cevapi
are BIG is Bosnia, Croatia and the rest of the former Yugoslavia. They are quite good and cheap (<5 Canadian dollars): just a tip: NEVER order the large dish, it will kill you.

    Mount Vlasic

Vlasic is an amazing sight with a large relatively flat area which towers over the surrounding countryside. Many people para-glide off it during the summer and ski during the winter.

    Churches in Bosnia

There are many old and some new churches in Bosnia. The older ones are amazing architecturally and the newer ones are mostly rebuilt on the foundations of old ones destroyed during the war. Much hate still exists in Bosnia with prejudices being established at a early age. The churches here also feel like very self serving organizations with some small ones serving communities of less then one hundred people but still maintaining 3 or more priests.

    Ruins of Bosnia

There are many burnt, destroyed or otherwise abandoned homes/buildings in Bosnia. Now almost 15 years later due to a generally stable population and little need for land many have been left standing. Some are tragically beautiful and reminders of why war sucks.

    Well thank god for that.

Oh and I wouldn't mind trying cevapi. It looks like an exotic form of bangers and mash.

I thought it was a Balkan version of Toad in the hole - either way it has made me hungry - looks great.

I was once on shore liberty heavily intoxicated in Croatia and I ate some delicious Cevapi. I've tried to patch together what they were in my memory for years. Thanks for fixing a hole.

That looks pretty friggin' good. As in, I'm going to die of a heart attack by the morning good.
Nor does it matter how you gauge and try him. A character is like an acrostic or Alexandrian stanza; read it forward, backward, or across, it still spells the same thing.

the yellow thing is called "lepina" , we eat Cevapi with fresh onion.

i dont unederstand why everybody posted its worth of having heart-attack.. we eat stuff like these from birth every other day but people here aren't near no fat as in USA. Not critizing, but I guess it cant be conpared to Mcdonalds despite it looks even more unhealthy.

Have you been to Croatian coast also ?
