For some reason I'm fascinated by the INTP job problem, so I haunt this board frequently. Something just struck me, why is it that INTP's seem to go for both the best of work (e.g. research scientist, novelist) or the worst of work (bus driver, military), but little in-between? I don't recall anybody trying out for financial consultant, teacher, or carpenter. We seem determined for the best we can get, or failing that we'll only take the worst. Maybe because the two extremes have some meaning for us, but being a bank teller wouldn't.
At any rate, give us the best job you ever had, and worst.
Present one, software engineer, I have a lot of autonomy to solve problems as I wish, and they're interesting, hard ones.
Working on a farm 'bucking' bales of hay. Basically humping after a tractor and tossing the bales on the back.
