Default I just saw (concert edition)...

Thought about posting this in the "Kick ass live performance" thread, but I wanted to make some negative comments about this concert as well as positive ones.

I've just seen G3 which, in the current incarnation, comprised Steve Lukather (formerly of Toto), Steve Vai and Joe Satriani

Lukather played material from his solo albums, none of which I am familiar with, so, although he played very well, it seemed pretty much like listening to an unknown support act.

I didn't like Vai at all...his entire set was gimmicky based on, IMO, showing how a guitar can be pedalled to sound like a keyboard. If I wanted to hear a keyboard, I would have looked for an Ultravox show!

Joe Satriani was brilliant! All but one of his set were off either Surfing with the Alien or Flying in a Blue Dream (the only Satriani albums I have) so I had expectations of the performance and was definitely not let down

The weird thing about the show was that entire crowd remained in their seats for the entire 3 hr show...most unusual
If a facetious person is a shit-stirrer, why isn't it spelled "faecetious"?

I can't even remember the last concert I saw. I wanted to see Garbage a couple of weeks ago but didn't want to deal w/the scalpers. I'm kinda regretting that I didn't go. Seen 'em before but not sure how many more opportunities I'll have.

This is seriously beginning to bother me. All I can think of is Elton John at the Idol Gives Back from two years ago. I wouldn't even call that a concert. Wow, that long??

I just saw Anti-flag! My favourite political punk band when I was 14.

I don't like them as much now, I'm more into 80s punx, but I had to see them for nostalgia's sake. So incredible.

It's hard for me to enjoy gigs usually because I am short and there are always huge sweaty guys elbowing me in the face. But punks are the loveliest people to mosh with. Everyone is so compassionate, kind of like the violent compassion that fight club had. I'll push you, but I'll help you up when you fall.

    I saw Grimes tonight.

Nightmusic / Oblivion / Be a Body were my favourites.
