    Default warm spots on body

This weird thing has been happening to me.

I'll be sitting somewhere, and a part of my body will all of a sudden feel warm. For instance, just a few minutes ago, I was sittting here at my computer, and an area about the size of my palm, on my lower leg, started to feel really warm. I put my hand there, and sure enough, that part of my leg felt noticably warmer to the touch than the rest of my leg. This has been happening for about six weeks I think. But I don't think the spot is always the same. Does anybody else have this happen, and do you know why this happens? I think there is an acupressure point, or something in that vicinity, so maybe that has something to do with it.

or, to paraphrase CW, "why are you asking medical questions in an online forum for psychology?"

My guess? you need to move around more...sitting at the computer can't be good for you.

To which end, see ya l8r!

WOW. The same thing always used to happen to me like 6 months ago. On my left part of my left shin. It feels nice and kind of tingly. It usually happened when I was driving but I dont give it anymore. Never got it checked out or anything.

    Maybe it's sweating.

Do the warm spots ever hurt? Because I've heard that warm spots on the legs can be a sign of a stress fracture or other injury. They tend to happen more in women, but I don't know if you're really physically active or if you get enough calcium, etc. Could just be sweating or lack of activity, though.

    That's what I figured. Bummer.

why are you asking medical questions in an online forum for psychology?
HAHAHA. Yes, I have noticed all the posts on this board are about psychology.

On my left part of my left shin.
My last one was on the right side of my right shin. Weird.

Yes, I've heard of this, it happens when there is a problem, and you should either massage that area, (perhaps the muscles are tense), or do something to relax that area more. (I'm a massage therapist, and feel that on peoples muscles sometimes. I agree with Bugeater. If you do a circular, deep massage motion on the area, it might help.
