You (and others who find that INTJs suffer from closed-minded certitude) should enjoy this thread over at MBTIc.

INTJ uses INTUITION as his/her leader. While, INTP uses THINKING as his/her leader. Can someone especially INTJ, explain how INTJ works in using INTUITION?

What's your opinion if an INTP often uses INTUITION? At the same time, he/she isn't J at all?

i'm trying to broach the subject with her using strategies and concepts employed in that thread, but even though they seem to work there it will probably still be a trainwreck here irl. oh well, it's still worth attempting.

There have been some startlingly keen observations from the INTPs here... it was enjoyable to read the thread. So many differences in observations on sense of humor (or lack therof)... I should say that I tend to get labeled "the funny one" by groups of friends but I also get the sense that nobody particularly understands half the things that are funny to me. "Funny, but mostly weird" indeed.

Heh, I do that too. I am doing that now. (Well, not right at this moment, as right at this moment I'm taking a break from 8 straight hours of homework.) My drive to persist at things seems to be so strong that often it's easier to just keep going than to consider changing course. This is a double-edged sword. I wouldn't be here today without it, but it's also gotten me in a lot of trouble. It seems funny to say, but I could use a little more judgment.

If it isn't perfect, what's the point?

My oldest friend (from preschool) is an INTJ. We get along great. He's the only I know for sure is an INTJ. There's someone at my school who's either an INTJ or an ENTJ.

My friend: Very considerate, very willing to help out when needed, concerned about others, open minded, intelligent, motivated towards learning, talented at different skills, similar sense of humor to mine... really, the closest thing to a role model I have. He's spends much more time with people than I do, and he started dating at about the same time he entered highschool.

I haven't seen him recently, so I invited him over yesterday. We baked cookies. That went pretty well.

"Okay, now add one teaspoon of baking soda... No! One teaspoon, not "I think this is probably a teaspoon! No! Oh well. 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla..."

Oh, and we put red food coloring in it, and the dough looked vaguelly similar to what you'd think chopped up organs would look like, and the icing actually looked like a bowl of blood.

Edit: Oh, and he almost NEVER invites me over or initiates doing something, but he virtually never refuses doing something either. I'm thinking about asking him why this is. If it's just because I do it so he doesn't have to, I honestly don't mind.

Guy at school: Has told me that I try to be different than others. Like I care enough about what classes/movies/etc that other people like to base my own preference on it? He's very intelligent and very popular. At one point I resented him for being able to combine the two, but I'm long over that. I respect his intelligence, but he has a way of making me feel insecure about my intelligence without meaning to, and the whole "you're trying to act differently than other people" doesn't help there. I guess I hate to have it suggested that I'm a conformist, even if they say I'm going about it indirectly.

I worked with him in class once when we were using the scales. He had to get it on exactly on the right weight. I mentioned once that the scales couldn't even read as precisely as he was trying to get it, but I didn't push it.

Well there's a certain nefarious glamour in having been banned...may you now bask in your notoriety and annoy as many people on INTPc as you humanly can..
