I wonder about crimminals by type.
I was wondering what sort of crime would INTP's indulge in mostly?
Any famous INTP crimminals?

I assume the quiet serial killer could be INTP.

But most serial killers have their own ritual. Too J-ish.

In fact, most criminal masterminds are probably Js.

I know he's not a person...but that's all I can think of...I took one of those "Really accurate Harry Potter tests based on MBTI" and came out as him.

Hn, I don't know enough about other criminals though...maybe the Columbine kids??

I don't think this that having a certain M.O. really means your a J. It's part of the whole "cray" thing.

Eek! I don't know what personality Type Voldemort is but I doubt it if it's a INTP. More of a ENxJ but I'd have to think about it.

I was standing in the shower this morning thinking about egging my neighbors house, when I started wondering the same question. Weird.

Probably petty crimes to gain a little cash. I don't think I could commit to serial crimes - that's how you get caught (look at the majoity of cheaters in Vegas - they get caught because of their greed. They keep coming back and eventually someone catches on). Random, sporadic execution of a single crime is key.

i agree. i could see an INTP maybe thinking up the idea, but never completing it... or losing interest after one crime.

I sometimes ponder evil strategies because it's fun, but I think INTPs have a better grasp at where to draw the line between fantasy and reality than INTJs do.

I disagree. As Arioch says it's a part of the whole M.O., and mostly there's a lot of compulsivity behind it.
Also it is a fact that people who have trouble with connecting to others can lose themselves in such morbid fantasies and feel so frustrated against society for lacking this social ability (even though they mostly lack interest in others this can occur) that they have potential for becoming a serial killer. Murdering is addictive. Plus, just a disorder with all this can put them over the edge.
It could be that there are more Js committing (this sort of) crime and I do believe that an INTP rather thinks up the idea than actually going through with it, but it's definitely not impossible for an INTP to be a serial killer.

Just needed to give my opinion on this specific matter, I've read a lot about psychology, psychopathology and serial killers lately so...
Edit: not that I'm insinuating to be an expert at the subject or anything!! Or wait, I am :D
